Responding to a National Enquirer story alleging he had multiple extramarital affairs, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz on Friday blamed the report on Donald Trump and "his henchmen."
Cruz said the report was untrue.
He called Trump "a rat" and said there is no level to which he won't stoop.
"The question that people are asking is how low will Donald go," Cruz said.
Cruz accused Trump of being a coward who has problems with "strong women."
Cruz was in Oshkosh Friday morning at Lakeside Plastics for a campaign stop.
Later speaking to reporters, he went on the attack against Trump and his shoot-from-the-hip style.
"It will not be sufficient for a president. He will send tweets at Putin," Cruz said.

In what way was the report “untrue”? If Cruz had four, not five, mistresses, the report would be ‘untrue.’ Ditto if he had more than five.
Cruz better have proof, without any proof his accusing Trump is a big mistake.

How does any of this scandal have to do with Trump? Good grief. The Malania pic said “vote Cruz” on it for crying out loud. Cruz is losing it.
Wouldn't surprise me that a tell all book 15 years from now says the story came from one of the newly adopted Cruz campaign managers in 'order to make Cruz more appealing to the public.'
Let me say this. I like Ted in many ways. He has taken principled stands, and to attack him in this way is of course disgraceful if untrue, BUT....
This story has some real facts behind it, the most important of which is why the hell Cruz transfered half a million dollars to Carly Fiorina’s campaign in the summer. Now the FEC is investigating.
I do not want to believe this is true. It would not only ruin a man I respect even as a Trump supporter, but it would indelibly mark others like Cruz.
Oh, and just a note, this has not come from Trump. This has come from National Enquirer

I don’t think people have to prove their innocence, at least that’s not the way it’s supposed to work. I’ll wait to see if there’s any actual evidence for him to refute.

Cruz should be looking at his new BFFs since Little Marco talked about this weeks ago. Seems the GOPe might be trying to get rid of Cruz. We will see what further info comes out.
