In perfect tabloid fashion one can expect this time in a contentious election cycle (remember Herman Cain), supermarket tabloid The National Enquirer decided to fabricate a sex scandal about Ted Cruz that could be the plot for a sequel to Eyes Wide Shut if it weren't so unbelievable.

Does make you wonder. When the post has an anti Trump story, they seem to be treated as gospel here, be it a poll or editorial.
If it is false he should deny it and sue for millions to fund his campaign; if he is victim to a false smear I may have to vote for him. If he had an affair with even one of these women he should not have run for President without disclosing it first.

I read on another thread that she's been ousted as Mr. Trump's spokesperson...maybe someone can verify or discount this.

Yup, I think the story is likely overblown. I mean 5 women during the campaign! How would he hide it from everyone so well...a campaign is a busy thing and someone would notice. I doubt he would take the risk...he does not seem that stupid to me.
But if he does not make a forceful and successful refutation of this in 48hrs he is TOAST!
Even with Twitter suppressing the hashtag and keeping it off the top of the trending list it is a posting frenzy at #CruzSexScandal

More importantly, as a rule, the National Enquirer doesn’t post with the detail and specificity that they did here if they don’t have the goods. The pictures of three of them are easily found on the internet.
You have a point; Edwards was not in legal jeopardy until he denied it and someone channeled campaign funds to his mistress ...

He’s going to need all 5 of these women to be so in love with him, that they will all say “nope, never happened”. NE would have to get this 100% wrong. Non NE media that have said that they know about this story and these women will have to ALL get it wrong.
So yeah. Even Clinton couldn’t pull that off.
