A rough estimate of what Cruz will need of remaining delegates rises from 82.75% today, to around 88% after tomorrow, if projections hold true.
Trump’s percentage needed (of remaining delegates) will drop from 56% to around 52%. Again, if projections hold true.
“A rough estimate of what Cruz will need of remaining delegates rises from 82.75% today, to around 88% after tomorrow, if projections hold true.”
I wonder, at what point of the (worsening) delegate math, does the Cruz camp admit the obvious?
I guess he’ll have to join Kasich in the Needs Over 100% Club.
He knows now. He is simply tossing the nomination process to the GOPe. (at least he’s trying)
He is one with them after all.
The thing that’s puzzling to me is, why the GOPe believes they are better able to deny Trump the nomination with two “not-Trump” candidates in the race vs. just one. One possible explanation is that they are in fact pushing Kasich to drop out, but he won’t do it. That could perhaps explain his increasingly odd and defensive behavior, as we saw in the Brett Baier interview.
I don’t think it will matter, as Trump has lots of upside and those who won’t vote for him will vote for the not-Trump regardless.
Anyone interested in starting a ping list for the FR Caucus discussion thread?
It would stimulate a lot more conversation if more caucus participants knew where to find it each day.
Let me know,
Windy
I’m not into bringing in the kids.
I wouldn’t bring Heidi in either if it weren’t for Goldman Sachs and the CFR.
I do a search every night. I don’t post but I read.
A ping list would probably help.
That works so much better with action video. You get to see Teddy's eyes. He clearly hopes there were no video, but...
I’m with Doughty. Let’s leave the children out of this. Adult offspring are probably fair game, but not the little ones.
I think the GOPe strategy is clear. I could be wrong too, but this is how I see it.
They don’t want Trump. They don’t want Cruz.
They have a better chance of denying Trump with three men in.
They are hoping Cruz and Kasich can draw off the delegates Trump needs.
I think he can do it, but it’s far too close for my liking. We are messing with fire here.
I have a question: When do the Cruzers vote? Right now there are 60 odd votes with only 5 Cruzers. Are they stealth voters who vote at 3 a.m.? Just curious.
Might you be interested in running the ping list, Amy? It’s totally ok if you can’t. I’m just asking.
Yikes...
That pains me to watch, not just for her either.
It does make me wonder what that dynamic was all about.
