Today, there is a contest between Trumpism and Republicanism. Through the calculated statements of its leader, Trumpism has become associated with racism, misogyny, bigotry, xenophobia, vulgarity and, most recently, threats and violence. I am repulsed by each and every one of these.
The only path that remains to nominate a Republican rather than Mr. Trump is to have an open convention. At this stage, the only way we can reach an open convention is for Senator Cruz to be successful in as many of the remaining nominating elections as possible.
I like Governor John Kasich. I have campaigned with him. He has a solid record as governor. I would have voted for him in Ohio. But a vote for Governor Kasich in future contests makes it extremely likely that Trumpism would prevail.
I will vote for Senator Cruz and I encourage others to do so as well, so that we can have an open convention and nominate a Republican.
If Cruz is smart he would do exactly that! Leave and endorse Trump. But I believe Cruz is to above us and thinks he will be anointed as President.
and a million % less likely to be president this time. I voted for Ted.
Don’t be misled by any establishment support for Cruz. First, they came to him; he didn’t go to them (nor did he sell anybody out in the process). Second, it’s merely temporary. The establishment’s intent is to hold Trump short of a majority at the convention.
Whereupon, the establishment will immediately abandon Cruz — whom they want even less than Trump — and attempt to impose their own candidate on the delegates.
At that point, I would expect Cruz and Trump to join forces and fight off the establishment candidate.
Question: If my forecast of events is correct, would you then accept the result of a third ballot head-to-head showdown between Trump and Cruz?
“Ted Cruz is without regard for anyones endorsement, about 10,000% preferable to Donald Trump as a potential President of the United States.”
If Cruz is elected, the United States is as dead as Alferd E. Packer.
But I believe Cruz is to above us and thinks he will be anointed as President

These are same exact words that Jeb (!) has said, and now the Bushes are behind Cruz...ok, now there’s another piece of the puzzle...
I would say we see things vastly differently, since I see Trump as completely unqualified by experience and temperament, and a sure loser to Hillary Clinton.
Rubio in FL, Kasich in OH, Cruz in UT. Principaled!
This seems more like an endorsement nfor a convention fight than anything else
I would invite your attention to the Sherburn episode in “Huckleberry Finn.”
Trump is the only man in the race.
How about in your other four states, Mitt?
Even if Cruz was given the nomination by the GOP-e, he couldn’t beat hitlery. The GOP-e won’t allow any of their candidates really attack hitlery because that would open up the uni-party establishment Pandora’s box and all of the skeletons would come out of the closets.
Only Trump appears to be willing to expose the DC corruption racket. That’s why Romney & McLame never attacked 0bama and ran “civilized” campaigns to preserve the oligarchy. It had nothing to do with race as the media tried to claim.
No, he hasn't
But of course he did not, Calgary Ted thanked him.

Welcome to the Washington "cartel", Ted.
I wonder what your definition of “man” is.
Don’t be silly.
Romeny withdrawing support from Kasich is telling and presages Kasich’s withdrawal from the race, probably tomorrow.
The there will be a further flurry of endorsements for Cruz.
Anyone who thinks this is over is dreaming on an opiate overdose.
I thought Mitt lived in Mass
My question to
