Today, there is a contest between Trumpism and Republicanism. Through the calculated statements of its leader, Trumpism has become associated with racism, misogyny, bigotry, xenophobia, vulgarity and, most recently, threats and violence. I am repulsed by each and every one of these.
The only path that remains to nominate a Republican rather than Mr. Trump is to have an open convention. At this stage, the only way we can reach an open convention is for Senator Cruz to be successful in as many of the remaining nominating elections as possible.
I like Governor John Kasich. I have campaigned with him. He has a solid record as governor. I would have voted for him in Ohio. But a vote for Governor Kasich in future contests makes it extremely likely that Trumpism would prevail.
I will vote for Senator Cruz and I encourage others to do so as well, so that we can have an open convention and nominate a Republican.
LOL!
I agree.
Cruz has run a very good race.
He’s not going to win this however. All he is doing now, is playing toward a brokered convention.
Which means Romney, and yet again the GOPe.
yeah poor Ted Cruz he cant get a break all they idiots he doesn’t need are piling on...
Glenn Beck, Lindsey Graham now Willard...
albatrosses all...
LOL
Today, there is a contest between nationalism and globalism. Romney, designated loser for Republican family of the Uniparty crime syndicate, endorses globalism.
[Wow talk about an endorsement you should passionately refuse.]
I think I’d rather have the David Duke endorsement that this clown!
This time it’ll be Romney holding his nose instead of me. I like that.
Big F’ing surprise there. I think he just released that statement to feel like he has control. Nothing more.
Meanwhile Robert Reich thinks Cruz to be more “dangerous” than Trump.
but he isn’t which is very telling for those who have their eyes wide open to see where Ted has been hanging on to for support.
Hooray! Everybody gives a shat about who Romney will vote for!
Keep sucking up to the leftwing Mittens...
...you're really winning their respect!
He didn’t. Cruz thanked Mitt in a tweet for the endorsement.
Atta go girl! Tell it like it is. GOOOOOOOOOOO TRUMP!
Don’t be misled by any establishment support for Cruz. First, they came to him; he didn’t go to them (nor did he sell anybody out in the process). Second, it’s merely temporary. The establishment’s intent is to hold Trump short of a majority at the convention.
Whereupon, the establishment will immediately abandon Cruz — whom they want even less than Trump — and attempt to impose their own candidate on the delegates.
At that point, I would expect Cruz and Trump to join forces and fight off the establishment candidate.
Question: If my forecast of events is correct, would you then accept the result of a third ballot head-to-head showdown between Trump and Cruz?
My respect for Romney has gone up. Then again, it could not have gone down.
Ted Cruz is without regard for anyone’s endorsement, about 10,000% preferable to Donald Trump as a potential President of the United States.
Why the Hell is this crumb-bum a delegate?
Will you be wearing your magic skivvies when you yank it there Willard?
But wait. Next we will have Kasich and Jeb endorse Cruz. After all, Cruz really is just another “Establishment” boy!
As if Mitt has any influence. His attack speech supposedly helped Trump.
The establishment is truly delusional at this point and Ted is the establishment’s boy now. Bought and paid for. :(
