I am sure there are 100’s of Harley Forums for you to “Cruz”
not famliar with that bike but usually a long bolt or two through both sides of the frame is holding the starter in place.
I dont know. I have a BMW motorcycle and it has become just a big computer thing. I don’t have the balls to wreck the warranty.
Did you re-boot?

disconnect positive cable from battery, remove primary cover, remove starter pinion gear, remove 2 mounting bolts. I think that should about do it.
Haven’t had a bike for a number of years. Do they still come with kick starters?
Just tie a string from the gearbox to a politician’s mouth and you’ll never need fuel.
Tight fit huh?
If memory serves, I always used a couple of flat pry bars on opposite asides and gently raise the battery up high enough to grab it with your fingers. This one worked well for me in the past. The key word is GENTLY. enough pressure to lift the battery, but not enough to damage it.
Treat it like a lady, not a rented mule.
Another option is grip the cable bolts with two sets of vice grips and lift it out.
IMO, the second is not the optimum since you there is slight chance of terminally damaging the terminal.
Get BFH. Swing wildly. Take back to dealer.
I have a 1993 FXR, and i have to take the seat off to get to the battery.
Pain in the neck, but I love “Ol’ Blue” just the same. :-)
I see that you are going to get hammered for asking, I guess it’s only OK to ask computer help or things like that.

LOL! Your question reminds me of the time I tried to change a front headlight in one of my Honda vehicles..........and a thermostat in another. It took me over an hour and a half on each vehicle with busted knuckles........
