Who Here Has Changed from Trump to Another Candidate?
Self | 03-14-16 | The Citizen Soldier

Posted on 03/13/2016 1:27:43 PM PDT by The Citizen Soldier

I have been on Free Republic for almost 15 years and almost never post anything. Love to lurk and post occasional response. In mid-February I changed my preference for President from Cruz to Trump. I've seen many others who have made a similar change in the past month.

I'm curious to learn those who have changed from Trump to another candidate, and why. I hope I have posted this correctly. If not, I apologize beforehand.

“I’ve gone from thinking trump was amusing, to a dangerous fascist.”

You sound delusionally paranoid to me.

"Lots of crossover Democrats to Trump. THOUSANDS."

"What happens when they, not all, but a significant portion show up to the polls in November and vote for Trump, but down ticket for Democrats across the country."

What makes you think they won't vote Democrat all the way in the general election? It is a well known fact that Democrats crossover in the primaries in order to get the one least likely to win against their candidate on the ticket.

What conservative solutions?

Stop illegal immigration, reign in the federal budget, reduce taxes, strengthen the military, protect veterans, protect the 2nd amendment, support and protect Christians. And more. All of these are platforms of Trump's campaign.

It’s been a while now, but I went from Cruz to Trump. What I couldn’t shake was the Canadian thing. I kept thinking, “This guy was a Canadian just a year and a half ago.” No matter if lawyers say he’s legal, that just isn’t wise.

Exactly. Members of a cult would never behave or think that way.

Our House and Senate are already DEMS what the he’ll difference does it make?? Have they done ONE thing to abide by our principles...........NOT!!!! I hope EVERYONE of the bastards lose their seats!!!!!

This is the truest statement made today! Opinions on which candidate are arguable but the fact is our current congress has done nothing to represent us!

Well said, Kit cat!

I chose Cruz as my preference for the presidency years ago, about 3 months into his Senator-ship.

I voted for Trump here in FL last week.

I'm curious to learn those who have changed from Trump to another candidate, and why.

And I'm incredulous to learn how many people on this site can't answer or don't understand a simple question. Citizen Soldier asked how many people have changed FROM Trump to another candidate. After reading the first 40 posts or so, I had to quit. Too many people saying how they used to support Cruz, but changed their minds. Alleged minds.

Wow.

I could have written your post, (mostly)

I always figured that if we nominated a heavy evangelical we would end up losing the general. (again) So I can’t imagine Cruz beating Hillary, but Trump has grown on me, and I even think his tone is OK.

I like the idea of support for the middle class American being paramount.

Put these people back to work

Thanks The Citizen Soldier. In 2014-2015 I'd stated I'd accept Cruz or Walker, but by Sept-Oct had come around to Trump. He'll be elected in the fall; at no time will any of the other candidates be electable at that time. For a long while (as recently as the 6th of this month) I thought the ideal ticket would be Trump-Cruz, but that's a non-starter after Cruz' antics since Chicago.

BTW, the vilification of me (because, I'm a Trump supporter, you talk about them, you're talkin' about me) by alleged supporters of Cruz should be grounds for an FR timeout, and upon recurrrence, permanent ban.

I was happy with either Trump or Cruz. But now will never vote for Cruz!

That is my position right now, Jeff.I do have some deep reservations about Trump but if it comes down to him being the nominee, I will support him, barring any absolutely prohibitive reasons.
Any way we look at it, this is a critical election and turning point for our country
I’ve been on FR since 2000.

I'd like to see the same for Trump supporter who have vilified me the same way. That would eliminate about dozen blowhards at least.

that hat should say, “holding my hair down”.

the pompous little trumpbots

You win the prize for being the nastiest poster on this thread. Everyone else is posting in a fairly serious manner while you spend your time name calling Trump supporters.

Speaks volumes.

And the GOP Washington Political Elite are laughing at its beotches like that. The lying Republican Oligarchs lie to these people every election, then these people come back every election and swallow all the lies again and we all get screwed again.
