Question to Cruz Supporters (Vanity)

An honest question to all Cruz supporters that try to describe Trump as a democrat/liberal. If you believe that Trump really is a democrat, and Cruz can't beat him in the GOP primaries, how in the heck do you expect him to win in the general against a real democrat?

We shall see. That is how you see it, but it doesn’t mean that how you see it is the reality.

“Cruz wins in most contests vs. Clinton.”

That’s just the drooling-idiot left trying to pick our candidate again.

It’s Hillary. Not “a democrat.”

Rubio won’t suspend his campaign. He pretty much stated that he would not ‘let his supporters down’ by dropping out.... as if that’s really the reason why. Rubio won’t quit because his ego won’t allow it. He cares more about “self” than about America. That’s the sad truth of it.

Trump will beat Cruz like a rented mule once the field narrows.

The field was 18 and Trump was supposed to win 48 states and have it sewn up by now. The field is 4 now and likely 3 soon, and Cruz is in range, winning 7. Trump has a ceiling of about fifty pct (purely my guess), and if it is a 2-man race soon, that is Cruz's best chance to win.

You are comparing apples and oranges: a multi-man race v. a two-man race.

I personally could turn it around and ask when was the last time the Republican party won a general by nominating a liberal candidate?

The question requires the reader to make unfounded assumptions. It tries to force me to assume that Cruz can’t beat Trump. As the election is not over no one can accept that as fact. It also tries to force me to see the contest as being between two people, as it obviously is not. If the question had been why is Cruz not LEADING Trump it would have been an honest question that might have warranted a logical answer. As written it is BS.

The Democrats of 1980 were a lot different than the Democrats of 2016.

To add some perspective on the ‘unpopularity’ of Trump. Although Cruz supporters point to polls showing Trump losing to Hillary, it is worth noting that Trump has seen an all out assault on him (and him only) since he announced his candidacy. Cruz, Rubio, Kasich, and even Clinton have been completely left alone. That said, Trump is still winning. Take a look at Drudge today. Don’t you think, if Cruz were to be nominated, that the media would have Cruz quickly and easily defined as a walking, talking televangelist within a short amount of time? That’s not to mention the fact that he was born in freaking Canada! They would ‘crucify’ him and he’d be lucky to win more than a handful of states. Not one state that Romney lost would be in play for him!

Trump has weathered the onslaught and once he officially secures the nomination his numbers will rise and Hillary’s will fall. The end result IMO is that Trump will win rather easily in a general.

He’s not a democrat, exactly. He’s not a Republican exactly either.

He’s been way too cozy with democrats, both with donations and endorsements

I don’t think he has true conservative values or will fight hard for what conservatives want, i.e. less government control and regulations; getting rid of abortion and Planned Parenthood; bringing business back to the U.S.

I mean he talks a decent game, except on the PP thing but I don’t believe he is an ardent foe of Big Government.

He just wants it to be Trump Big Government.

I said two months ago that Trump would offer the veep to Rubio.

I believe that is true right now and may be the reason Rubio is willing to humiliate himself by staying in and not giving Cruz a fair shot.

Except hypothetical head to head polls with Hillary are completely meaningless at this time.

Add to that the fact that the polls are national. The polls in the swing states (Va, Pa, Oh, Fla, etc.) are likely to show a different story ... one that the MSM will ignore as long as possible.

There is no national Not Cruz sentiment.

The only Not Cruz sentiment is here.

Cruz has only made enemies in the Senate by not being willing to deal and go along with McConnell.

The rest of the world likes Cruz.

The road behind is littered with the carcasses of all who underestimated the wrath of the disaffected patriotic low information American voters, who have taken it up the crease from the GOP in the last two cycles without so much as a kiss or some roses.

Fixed it for you ...

“Has Trump gotten over 50% of the cote in any state yet?”

Nope...just like beloved Ted couldn’t get to 50% in his home state of Texas. Not exactly a demonstration of rock solid support.

In the unlikely event that Cruz were to get the nomination, he would be crushed by the national media. Trump has seen an all out assault by the media and his own party yet he STILL beats Cruz. Cruz has been completely left alone up until now. Take a look at Drudge to get just a taste of what would await him in a general.

Name a single state that Cruz would win, that Romney lost.

If Cruz truly respected the constitution, he would not be running.
