Ted Cruz Says Donald Trump's Voters Have "relatively low information" And Are "not that engaged"
The Brody File ^ | 3/10/2016 | David Brody

Posted on 03/10/2016 5:22:05 AM PST by joesbucks

GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz tells The Brody File that the reason Donald Trump is performing well in the GOP race for president is because his voters are uninformed and not engaged in the process. “Donald does well with voters who have relatively low information, who are not that engaged and who are angry and they see him as an angry voice.

Hey there, Teddy.

You know, I have an undergraduate double-major in Finance and Exonomics, an MBA in Accounting, a law degree and a graduate law degree. Oh, and I’ve been a political junkie since you were still making dirty diapers. So I’m not low information.

I’ve also engaged enough to know that while you might theoretically be the best President, you simply cannot be elected IN THIS CYCLE. Later, maybe (hopefully, in fact), but not now. You need more experience and more time in front of the American people, preferably as Trump’s Attorney General or Veep.

That is why I switched to Trump last Fall, after having donated to your campaign when you declared. I still like your politics and you a lot, but this is not your time - it is Trump’s.

But please, don’t denigrate those of us supporting Mr. Trump. It makes you seem arrogant and out of touch, and those are not characteristics that someone whose career is in politics should be cultivating. I understand that you think that you have the best message (and, honestly, you do - THEORETICALLY), but that doesn’t mean that you are the best tool for the American people to use at this particular point in time to restore our Republic and all of the freedom and opportunity that it used to provide. The political “gods” of our era have stacked the deck against us, and We The People have decided to “Release the Krakken” on them to reverse course. Maybe after Donald J. Krakken finishes destroying the current political structure, you can come in and re-assemble the Republic into the form that our Founders had intended for it to take.

Just don’t dis the American people like this.

His wife DID NOT “author” the CFR plan. She was a member of the committee and the only comment she added was about the free market works. Ted voted against the TPA.

I do not belittle a change over time. I am suspicious of one that appears sudden and has no history of supporting actions as of yet.

Too many politicians say things to get elected. Trump seems to also exhibit a tendency to oversell with hyperbole, and acknowledges the practice in his book.

I weight his campaign words with a bias from what he says in The Art of the Deal, considering that the deal could be for my vote, not just with Congress.

Look at the history between the Bushes and Cruz. The facts are there for those who bother to see.

Ted Cruz’ message is that you Trump voters are idiots and that is why we need to vote for Ted Cruz. Typical lawyer politicians.

Well next Tuesday Teddy is going to be treated to a first hand display of how the low information Trump voter can find the polling place. :-)

Yes I heard exactly what he said. In fact I relistened to it before posting that comment to make sure I had it in context.

I prefer Cruz, but I’ll happily take Trump.

This is why the GOP is desperate to help Ted, they know Trump is many Cruz supporters 2nd choice. Though that cuts both ways they haven't been able to sway Trump voters to abandon him.

Trump is the only one with skin in the game. He could have started this campaign taking donations like everyone else instead he’s using money he could have left to his kids and grandkids.

He’s doing that to avoid the influence bosses.

Yes he has and just like he has had his kids do also. I would wager Trump knows more about carpentry, masonary, HVAC than Cruz would ever know. Cruz has lived on the government teat his entire life and has never signed the front of a payroll check.

And all that talk about building a wall and the immigration problem back 5 years ago and nothing got done or accomplished. Just because Cruz talked about it, what did he do about getting it built or stopping illegal immigration?

Make money for whom? Himself. The Donald. Mr. Big Hands. At a cost of about $1 billion to some of his backers and investors.

A short list of elite businessmen who know how to make money:
Tom Steyer
Warren Buffett
Bill Gates
Mark Zuckerburg
Steve Schmidt
George Soros
Donald Trump
