Global climate patterns have undergone a remarkable shift in the past 600,000 to 1.2 million years. Before the transition, glacial cycles, consisting of cold ice ages and milder interludes, typically lasted about 40,000 yearsbut those weaker cycles gave way to longer-lasting icy eras with cycles lasting roughly 100,000 years. In between the cold ice ages are periods of thawing and warming known as interglacial periods, during which sea levels rise and ice retreats. Here Past Interglacials Working Group of PAGES identifies and compares interglacial periods over the past 800,000 years, including our current era.
Glacial periods give way to interglacials on some occasions when the Northern Hemispheres summer solar insolation (the amount of solar radiation received by Earths surface) increases alongside corresponding decreases in ice volume and increases in temperature and atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2). Although the end of an interglacial period is a slow process requiring the sequential reversal of these conditions, the onset of an interglacial period can be relatively fast. Within the glacial periods, there are secondary fluctuations. These are known as interstadial and stadial periods, which occur when glaciers retreat and advance, respectively.
The authors predict that this current interglacial period wont give way to a glacial period for another 50,000 years or so. The only way the current interglacial could end earlier is if CO2 levels were reduced to well below preindustrial levels

We need another Manhattan Project to get the US infrastructure in alignment with the upcoming ice age,
For starters...water pipes should be buried deeper to avoid freezing.
Oil and gas drilling platforms should be winterized
set up local cold climate aquaponics for fish and vegies

Russia and Pakistan. Apparently they have more concern for their citizens than they do for corrupt cronyism. Obama has been bombing one of them with drones, while trying to start a war with the other one in Syria. Strange coincidences no doubt.
Pakistan Government.....

Agreed. We have the energy and we can drill rapidly as required. Our problem now is "capacity." We need more pipelines. We need transmission, trunk, gathering and distribution. We have allowed Saudi Arabia to dictate our energy policy and requirements.
Our drilling platforms are in Utica and Marcellus. TAFT!
I have my greenhouse and cold frames for 18 raised beds. My well waterline in western PA is at 6 feet. The information is out there.
Our elites must pay the ultimate price for what they have done.

China knows, but is already entering a famine. That is why their military posture is growing more dangerous day by day. Think of Japan prior to WWII.

Couple of good books for the library:
A prescription for nutritional healing by Nurse Balch
Encyclopedia of medicinal plants by Andrew Chevalier
Don't forget the Alpine goats (good for cold weather) for milk meat and pelts, and some heirloom turkeys for eggs and meat.
Get a few sacks of granite fines...makes good soil supplement.

Thanks will put them on my Amazon list. Also check out food fermentation. That is how we stored food for thousands of years. There seems to be some myths about salt. The primary myth is that salt was lacking in foods for a balanced diet. The real reason, in MYHO is salt was required for fermentation and food storage.
Thanks again.

I have been watching this winter. Almost all of the orient (past the Tropic of Cancer and as far as Capricorn in places) has been hit with record freezes and snow fall. Thailand of all places and Bangkok with temps in the 50s.

China and Japan both got hit hard this winter. Very deep snow falls. There is a reason China is turning coral reefs in the middle of the Ocean into strategically located military bases. And our government will no doubt be blindsided when Chinese intentions become clear. Can you see the strategy session in the US Pentagon right now. Have the Chinese considered how this will impact Climate Change ? They would be stupid to move closer to the equator due to climate change. Yada. Yada. Like playing chess with pigeons.

Our relatives in Phrae (North Central near the Lao border) had a rough winter. Neither their houses nor them are built for temps below 60f.

question
the ice ages / warming periods seem to be cyclic and corresponding co2 in the warming periods seems to be cyclic with the warming.
so is co2 cause or effect of the warming?....
Because if co2 was cause you would have to find some reason for the earth co2 level to go up all on its own
it’s more likely solar cycles causes glacial/ warm periods and co2 increase is an effect not a cause
But either way cyclically increasing co2 levels seem to be a natural thing in the environment

I have been doing some research with my wife (physician) on different neurodegenerative disorders. All have one thing in common. All are metabolic disorders and diet based.
An example is
is Alzheimer's disease. The majority of neurodegenerative disorders, cardiovascular disease and diabetes (type 2) are metabolic and related to diet and insulin resistance.
We have been grossly mislead about dietary recommendations. The human body was meant to have a ketogenic diet as it's primary source of energy.
If you are prepping for what is to come, stock up on medium and long chain fatty acids (coconut oil, red palm oil) along with resistant starches. All can be stored long term.
Is getting late and can discuss more details later.

so is co2 cause or effect of the warming?....
Yes. It is a lagging indicator versus a leading indicator.
A simple example is a carbonated drink. One is warm and one is cold. Shake them up and the warm one will give up the CO2 much more rapidly than the the cold one.

I have been following it. The water buffalo die off has been tragic. There is dead silence in the news here. The GW narrative is just parroted none stop. Bad things are coming our way too.

New Cold Climate to Devastate Global Agriculture within Ten Years
Space and Science Research Corporation ^ | April 30, 2015 | John L. Casey
Posted on 5/3/2015, 9:55:53 AM by citizen
The Space and Science Research Corporation (SSRC) announces today that the predicted new cold climate will soon begin to end the historic era of growth in US and global agricultural output that began after the end of World War II. Specifically, as a result of recent events on the Sun and changes in the Earth's climate, the SSRC again warns that record crop yields and volume in the US and Canadian corn, wheat, and soybean belts are about to end. The SSRC expects the first substantial damage could be observed at any time but certainly within the next ten years.
