China knows, but is already entering a famine. That is why their military posture is growing more dangerous day by day. Think of Japan prior to WWII.

China and Japan both got hit hard this winter. Very deep snow falls. There is a reason China is turning coral reefs in the middle of the Ocean into strategically located military bases. And our government will no doubt be blindsided when Chinese intentions become clear. Can you see the strategy session in the US Pentagon right now. Have the Chinese considered how this will impact Climate Change ? They would be stupid to move closer to the equator due to climate change. Yada. Yada. Like playing chess with pigeons.
