Don't forget the Alpine goats (good for cold weather) for milk meat and pelts, and some heirloom turkeys for eggs and meat.
Get a few sacks of granite fines...makes good soil supplement.

The primary myth is that salt was lacking in foods for a balanced diet. The real reason, in MYHO is salt was required for fermentation and food storage.
