Don't kid yourself - the operatives of those groups are on the boards.
Sounds good to me. I’m a Cruz supporter, but at the end of the day, the winner of the nomination is significantly less important to me than keeping Hillary (or Bernie) out of the White House.
Trump has the added advantage of making every GOPe'er look like an assclown puppetmaster ,, and we refuse to be their puppets anymore, there ain't no strings on me.
The enemies are Hillary and fringe lunatic liberals.
The establishment is not having a very good night.
Well said. I have no hostility toward anyone on FreeRepublic over any of the political candidates they support.
The gopE owns this election. Their man will get in and it won’t be Cruz or Trump. Plus they know that if Cruz and Trump aren’t the nominee then voters will stay home and Hillary will win.
So, there’s really no sense in fighting about this. I got a feeling we’re all going to be disappointed in the end. That’s the way it’s been since 1988.
Bump. Can’t wait for the astroturfers to leave so Far goes back to being civil.
I have my problems with Trump, I have my problems with Cruz.
Neither of these men is perfect or ideal.
I am fully prepared to vote for Trump or Cruz in the general.
Amen. We must remember who and what are the real enemy and focus beyond individual interest. We’re losing our country to immoral forces that have the Democrat and Republican parties in a vise grip. This *is* about life or death; if we allow Clinton, Sanders, or any latecomer candidate to win the presidency, it’s death. It’s only marginally less worse if we end up with Rubio, Kasich, Romney, Ryan, or other handpicked GOPe stooge through a contested convention.
What you said.
I think one thing that has been overlooked is that there is a fundamental difference between Trump and Cruz supporters on the one hand, and supporters of everyone else: we (Trump and Cruz supporters) both feel that our country is in dire peril, and only a drastic change can save it. A small tax cut here, a small reduction in the growth of government there, accepting bad judicial decisions as “settled law”, won’t cut it.
We both agree that we have to blow sh!t up - we are just debating whether to use U-235 or Pu-239.
I like Trump or Cruz, whoever has a chance of trouncing Hillary. I’ll vote for either one of them if they get in.
I agree. We don’t all have to think the same way, nor should we feel obligated to humiliate someone else’s choice. There is room for more than one point of view. I do not have the entirety of my value as a man dependent on how many people agree with me, or just say they agree so I’ll stop obsessing about it.
Remember the Serenity Prayer;
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
I’ve been extremely polite toward Sen Cruz supporters going so far as to congratulate the Senators wins. Today, because I support Trump, I’ve been called a cultist. My feelings are hard after this. That is an undeserved low blow. Its going to take a lot more than gathering together singing peace songs for this Trump supporter to get back what once was, a place for conservatives to bond and discuss issues of the day.
Appreciate the sentiment. Here’s a question though. If someone finds themselves in a place where according to their conscience they cannot pull the lever for the nominee (Cruz/Trmp) will they still be loved or respected?
Something tells me no. Something tells me they will be ostracized by the mob because in their political calculus they have determined a good faith reason for not voting for the nominee is voting for Hillary.
I’ve said that if Trump is the nominee that I’m not certain that I would vote for him and that my final decision would probably be made in late October. I have to wait and see what happens after the convention and the nominee begins their four-month slide into centrism.

I’ve always said I’ll vote for Cruz if he manages to win. I don’t see how he has a path to victory at this point and I’m pretty sure he’s GOPe, but I’m not looking to hold any grudges when it’s all said and done.
Anyone that actually wants to president in 2016 has to have something wrong with them, I mean come on, look around. They all suck, it’s like we are fighting over which of the select few happens to be the least bizarre stiff.
