I was at a local indoor action match a couple weeks ago. This guy came over and commented on my Wiselite Sterling Mk4 and Zenith Firearms MKE Z-5RS. He asked about the MP5 clone and then asked "Want to see a real MK4 and MP5?" Yes, yes I would. He had his friend go fetch them. We talked a bit waiting for the friend to return and he showed me some photos of his collection on his phone. I mentioned that I am a writer for TFB and so he invited me to check out his collection. There are some rather rare guns in his collection.

that’s some collection, wow.
I’ve only shot once, an M4, glock and SCAR in vegas.
it was GREAT!!
then I came back to USSR/NYC :(
wife wont move. But you can always get another wife ;0 jk
Nice!
I’ve always thought that the Browning M1919 is what a machine gun should look like.
Ah, there is nothing like a rattle gun and the smell of burned cordite in the air! And better yet, gentlemen prefer to shoot them with suppressors (incorrectly described as silencers).
However, it isn’t the price of the machine gun that breaks you, it’s the spare parts, magazines, links, special tools, and ammo — particularly the ammo. Rule of thumb for: 1) magazine fed — buy ammo by the case; 2) belt fed — buy ammo by the pallet. More modern belt fed guns have quick change barrels — invest in several. The only other thing is to find a range that accepts full auto guns.
Where is “Ma Deuce’’? What, no .50 caliber?
LOL! Maybe there’s one hiding in the corner. You know, for concealed carry.
However, some of the fun evaporated when he told us that we had just gone through almost $1,000 worth of .50-cal. Roughly a buck a round (he bought bulk military once-fired).
Nice toy, but expensive to feed. I can't imagine the cost of parts and/or repairs.
“He had his friend go fetch them.”
Terrible idea to do and to write - not permitted for Title II.
Great collection however.
Just,,,,Dang!
Lock Me in with a case of C rats!
I think first run .50 ammo is about $2.50/rd. Yeah, you better have deep pockets.
I’m surprised there’s no mini in that collection. There’s one for sale on subguns for the mere pittance of $325,000: http://www.subguns.com/classifieds/index.cgi?db=nfafirearms&website=&language=&session_key=&search_and_display_db_button=on&results_format=long&db_id=26809&query=retrieval
I think there’s only 5 of them in existence in private hands.
Crap. Mrs. rktman says wood floors first then we can discuss mini-guns. LOL!
It's outside, mounted on the Jeep.
What! Just one? It'd get lonely!
I think theres only 5 of them in existence in private hands.
Neal Smith had at least three at one time.
Isn’t the water-cooled jobbie a Browning 1917?
Looks kinda like it for the most part. Curious about what appears to be a bolt in the end of the barrel. Must be de-activated. Or something.
Saw that. Image search showed a few variants at the muzzle. Could be a nut for retaining the water jacket.
Hmmm. Could be. Hard to tell from the pic angle.
First motor cars ever to ride there. PPA. Popski with a hook for a hand by then.
