Ted Cruz likes to say personnel is policy but the single most important personnel decision hes made on the 2016 presidential campaign has become his most controversial.
Cruz has carefully built his brand on trustworthiness he stands almost daily in front of signs that read TrusTED but in selecting his campaign manager, Cruz tapped a take-no-prisoners operative well practiced in political dark arts.
Those who have crossed Cruzs campaign manager, Jeff Roe, say things like hes mean and a master of sleazy politics. Hes also an indisputably talented tactician who has guided Cruz from an asterisk early in the race to one of its finalists. But his calling card has long been win-at-all-costs campaigning.
As Cruz enters super Tuesday the most important day of this entire primary election, Cruz said Sunday, when a slate of southern states long seen as the linchpin to his nomination will vote his opponents have successfully raised questions about Cruzs own ethics and honesty, repeatedly calling him a liar and accusing him of dirty tricks. Along the way, Cruz has lost his base, evangelical Christians, to Donald Trump in three straight states.
You bring a king cobra into your bed? You better be a mongoose, thats all I can say. You bring pure evil into your home. You are who you hang with, said Cathy Rinehart, a Democrat who ran against Roes old boss, Republican Rep. Sam Graves, in 2002. Rinehart says Roes political team hounded her in public with cameras (she contacted the police; no charges were filed).

Very Telling
Its an ominous sign for Cruz ahead of evangelical-heavy states that vote Tuesday: Texas, Georgia, Arkansas, Tennessee, Oklahoma and Alabama were supposed to be his political launching pad.
...After Super Tuesday, it will be clear whether he and the Cruz campaign will have turned the corner on questions of ethical politicking, or if they have run out of road entirely.
Yes, very telling.
Goldman Sachs? Really...what are we all Bernie Sanders supporters here all of a sudden. Whats next? Support of a carbon footprint tax?
Ted didn't fund his own opposition making his job and the job of other Tea-Party members harder to do either.
For a guy who did nothing...he sure got a lot of folks angry with his role in SHUTTING DOWN A GOVERNMENT....and we all applauded. But that was before Donny the Democrat came along.
Unquestionably Cruz’ worst decision.
Sounds like a Lee Atwater type.
Sometimes that’s what it takes to win it all.
Politics is a contact sport.
Having said that, teaming up with Glenn Beck was really dumb.
Jeff Roe single handedly destroyed Cruzs political future.
He made sure that every bridge Cruz had with Trump was burned. Now Ted will have to retire to a ranch in Texas. No one will want Ted now after the dirty that Roe brought down.
What ranch?
In the interview with Heidi, the author stated the Cruzes lived in a high rise building with a live nanny due to Heidi’s 80 hour work week. Heidi was quoted as saying she couldn’t live without the nanny. Those under ten kids spend more time with the nanny than with either parent.
What ranch?>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The one that the GOPe is about to purchase for him for dropping out and dedicating his supporters over to Rubio.
Oh, that ranch.
The one in DC.
Got it.
;>)
He was working for the govt at the time.
Sorry I am sick of foljs who spend their whole life in govt
And Trump gets a pass for doing all the things he does.
Such as planting the story that Cruz is dropping out. The garbage stories that Trump said about Carson.
Buts it’s ok when Trump does it because he’s a hard nosed businessman.
Same, here. I was receptive to Cruz until Iowa and the first lies.
Then, it was one on top of the other until I automatically hit the mute button when Cruz’s face came on the screen.
