Either Donald Trump suffers from memory loss or he is completely lying about his healthcare plans.
During Thursday night's debate Ted Cruz simply asked Trump, "True or false, you said the government should pay for everyone's healthcare?"
Trump emphatically denied, claiming the accusation was completely false. To those watching who have been keeping up with this election cycle, the claim seemed dubious.
After the debate, Cruz's campaign helped Trump and the rest of America understand the truth behind the spar: ...

Without question.

Looks like 2018 we will have a third party. I don’t know its name but that is where I will be.
If you can’t see that they all lie then you are part of the problem!
And I think the SCOTUS has already ruled that lying by pols is AOKAY!
But listen to yourself.
A lot of disasters are on the horizon but there is zero reason to believe that Trump will keep any of his promises.
He might find a reason not to build the f-ing wall.
He’s admitted he’s for universal health care and Planned Parenthood. He hired illegals and he’ll want to do so again. Hello, back door to the wall.
Using cutsy names like Cabana boy may be fun but you won’t be laughing after the ball.
I nominate the “We the People Party”;-)
Hmmm, build a wall, build the military, open up a can of whoop ass on the terrorist, lower taxes, get rid of Obama care, EPA, NEA and the icing, yes, destroy the DC corrupt cabal.
Sounds pretty conservative to me.
If he gets rid of the EPA, who's going to enforce that ethanol mandate he promised to keep for the Iowa farmers?
Thanks for hanging in there.
But if I see any more posts form mind-numbed robots, I may be sick.
I think I’ll walk Smitty. He has more brains than a lot of people here and he’s an idiot.
Stop spamming.
The problem is that Cruz has proven to be a snake. He would unfortunately make a bad president. He has flip flopped as much as Romney. He is untrustworthy and I am greatly concerned that he has become everything he claimed to be against. So if you can’t see it fine. But I can and you can bash Trump all you want, but I can’t support Cruz anymore. Only one left would be Dr. Benjamin Carson. But I still think Trump will be great so not yet sold on jumping off the train.
Actually, he said he was going to cut the size of the EPA, my mistake.
I never said Trump is some kind of perfect candidate, none of them are, but I believe the benefits of his election outweigh the liabilities.
As far as ethanol mandates, even Cruz says he will take 5 years to get rid of them....yeah, I've heard that before and so have you.
If you believe it, that's fine, matters not to me nor does this issue matter to the electorate this time around.
20 trillion in debt, massive border invasion, muzzies being brought into our neighborhoods, the country/world is on the verge of financial collapse and world war...and you give a flying leap about Ethanol mandates???
You mean a second party don't you?
Great news. You support amnesty! Hurray for Altura, lover of illegals!
The ethanol mandates are just a symptom. All the things you've listed are to varying degrees symptoms of the same problem - the centralization and concentration of power and control in Washington.
Trump appears to be the quintessential RINO. He's used to the idea that Big Government can do it better, and as far as he's concerned it's all just a management problem. He's like the socialists that keep telling us there's inherently wrong with socialism, we just need to get the right people in charge.
That may be, but we have to eradicate the cancer before we can address what caused it.
The entire health care empire is a pyramid of cards and is about to be blown away. Cash will be king and Government will be the enforcer.
No, we don't. This is not cancer - it's not self-sustaining. This is cause and effect. What Trump is proposing will eliminate some of the symptoms, but he may well make the root cause worse in the process.
Let me ask you an honest question.
Given that this country has been under progressive assault for the last 100 years, we have generations of uneducated, uninterested patriotic peoples, do you think we have a chance at electing a died in the wool conservative?
What we need is a man to get up there and proudly claim he is going to downsize the government by 80%.
Eliminate 99% of the alphabet agencies.
I could go on with a million other things, but the point is no man like that would stand a chance let alone not get laughed off the stage.
We need someone who can begin the turn, and that means picking slowly away at the multitude of destructive polices that have been put in place over many years.
It's going to be a long tedious process, three steps forward a two steps back...just how the left accomplished what they have and got as far as they have.
Step one is to begin the turn, if it's even possible.
The flaw in the theory is the reliance on "someone" - one man - to do that. No one man made America great, and no one man can make America great again. We don't need a leader who thinks he can make America great again. We need one who realizes that's not the President's job, it's ours.
All just blather and rhetoric. No specifics, no details - but it's all going to be great!
But even from your list - Trump has actually called for raising taxes on the wealthy. And while he claims to want to get rid of Obamacare, Trump wants to replace it with his own government health care.
And with his new best friend Krispy Kreme Christie, the Obama Hugger, Trump becomes less and less conservative each day.
Donald Trump is a salesman, nothing more.
