Either Donald Trump suffers from memory loss or he is completely lying about his healthcare plans.
During Thursday night's debate Ted Cruz simply asked Trump, "True or false, you said the government should pay for everyone's healthcare?"
Trump emphatically denied, claiming the accusation was completely false. To those watching who have been keeping up with this election cycle, the claim seemed dubious.
After the debate, Cruz's campaign helped Trump and the rest of America understand the truth behind the spar: ...

It is a terrible shame conservatives on this site are so blind. This is not about universal healthcare. Universal healtcare is about the government running healthcare. Trump isn’t going there and everyone knows it......except dipsticks who want to make an issue when one doesn’t exist. There would be blood in the streets before we had universal govt run healthcare. We are not going to go socialistic without another bloody revolution. This is about a universal safety net....government run. We already have a huge net out there today. Obamacare isn’t the answer.....it is crappy legislation and crappy health care policy.
We simply cannot have broad parts of the folks living here be able to walk into a hospital, get care and call that healthcare. Of course The Donald is already addressing part of the issue by getting rid of the folks who don’t belong here in the first place.
And like all presidents, he is going to have to get his ideas through congress. The US needs more leadership, not more policy. Cruz and Rubio are not leaders.
Both Rubio and Trump are for Amnesty....haven’t you been paying attention?
And yes, every man on that debate stage would make a better than Donald Trump, including the candidates who have dropped out.
Still, the fact remains, Cruz violently ATTACKED Rubio on his Gang of 8 treachery in the 9th debate and now SWERVES to support Rubio after the 10th.
Cruz is truly the Great Conswervative.
Cruz and Rubio didn't look SOLID or like LEADERS, they looked like debate school grads who crammed the night before and ganged up on a guy.— John Nolte (@NolteNC) February 26, 2016
How about you have some intellectual integrity and deal with the issue at hand...Donald Trump’s lying? I remember you being one of the cabal of trumpeters screaming about Cruz’ lying.
So here you go big boy...show your intellectual integrity. What do you have to say about Trumps 100% provable lie?
Ted “A Time For Truth” Cruz, status quo politicians, and the media are masters of the lie of omission.
“Also known as a continuing misrepresentation, a lie by omission occurs when an important fact is left out in order to foster a misconception. Lying by omission includes failures to correct pre-existing misconceptions.”
As I'm sure you are well aware GGG, I'm am here quite often and fully understand Trump's immigration positions.
Rubio and Cruz will NOT build a wall and unlikely enforce existing immigration law.
Cruz and Rubio have support amnesty in the past.
Their records are undeniable.
And with last nights little bromance between Cruz and Rubio, Cruz is now exposed as just a common politician willing to shift with winds to suit his needs. He's not trustworthy.
Ted Cruz exhibited his slimy, lawyer doublespeak quite well last night. He twisted what he knew nothing about to make it look like Trump “imported hundreds of foreigners instead of hiring Americans.” The TRUTH is that Donald is exactly correct. In the SEASON—the winter months in Florida, it is extremely difficult if not impossible to find extra workers beyond your normal staff. Palm Beach is an exclusive resort frequented by many foreigners, predominantly European, who speak other languages...it used to be many spoke French...and probably still is. Many local people are not willing to work short periods of time, they’d rather stay on unemployment until finally they might find a full time job. Restaurants and hotel particularly seek bi-lingual people for staff with a preference for French, since Europeans are visitors to Palm Beach in great numbers. In Europe if you speak French and English, you can go anywhere, to any country, and be understood.
The hotel and restaurant industries are “people related” industries. If you are in a people industry, it is what the customer wants and expects that governs your hiring practices. Short term hiring of foreigners has always been the practice in Palm Beach and in fact, throughout Palm Beach county during the winter “season.”
same comment to you chief:

You have no idea what Trump will do. He has no core beliefs and is a liar flip flopper besides.
Was this before the “principled conservative” endorsed his fellow GOPe member Marco Rubio?
I can’t believe the number of people here who are fooled by Ted “A Time For Truth” Cruz’s constant stream of lies, half truths and deliberate misrepresentations. Obviously some see though it because the more Ted does it the lower his numbers and popularity goes.
This biggest lie in this campaign was exposed last night:
Cruz LIED when he said he cares a whit about illegal immigration.
He has SWERVED to support the Gang of 8.
Cruz is the Great Conswervative.
“Would you stay at home? Vote for a third party candidate?- Or would you vote Democrat?”
Probably write in and vote the down ticket. I don’t believe Trump would be any different, possibly worse because of mental and personality problems than hillary or bernie. At this point I’m not going to allow a backstabber, democrat or crazy guy to rely on my vote.
Now there is some substance....LMAO
We will get the nominee we deserve, not the one we need. It will take a miracle for Cruz to pull off a few victories on Tuesday. :-(
And you have no idea what Cruz would do either. I did not vote for Cruz in 2012 thinking he would support stuff like the Corker Bill, TPA authority for Obama or endorse Marco Rubio as he did last night but he did all those things. Just sayin’
More disgusting deceit from Cruz!
I saw that interview and Trump was clearly answering the question about the indigent while the interviewer talked over him to try to move it to addressing everyone.
Trump has been very clear. Only the indigent (those getting Medicaid) get coverage from the government. For most people, interstate competition and expanded Health Savings Account increase the free market solution.
I watched his post interview talk on CNN.
He did not ‘come out’ for Marco Rubio.
He simply stated the truth that he or Rubio would be a better president than Trump.
ok then...so you don’t have the integrity to deal with the issue. good to know. Now we all know we can completely ignore anything you say. thx!
