Granted that the debate rhetoric was punishing. However, the stated fact that Cruz would support Rubio over Trump just goes ta show ya....that at the end of the day the 'LAWYER POLITICIANS' only know how to stick together. Really Cruz? You would go with Open Borders rather than get past your personal animus?
If Trump makes a deal with Rubio, will you call him the same thing?

Cruz is not choosing Rubio over Trump. He is choosing Gang of 8 Amnesty and Obamatrade over Trump. Both happen with POTUS Rubio. Neither happen with POTUS Trump. The mask is off: Senator Principled Conservative is just fine with amnesty and Obamatrade.
As I have pointed out about Cruz supporters for the most part it is anger over love of country. Lobbyists-controlled Cruz has been lead by his father to believe he is a king sent by God to lead and his pride is very shaken by Americans not wanting him. Now he will even side with amnesty GOPe to punish Trump for being what Americans in large numbers support.

It is highly illuminating how someone about whom Lindsey Graham has commented on his [Cruz’] hypothetical murder on the Senate Floor would go without action chooses to support Gang of Eight Rubio, one who Graham would support over Trump as the ‘better choice’.

Cruz is following the Gowdy plan to irrelevence. Both are shown to be careerist porch conservatives on the GOP plantation whose job is to toss red meat to the base.
