LOLOL
Since Paleo man lived on this diet, this is nonsense.
Didn’t know mice are meat eaters.
I think a more or less paleo diet saved my health and decreased my familial tendency to diabetes. Anecdotal, but at least I’m not a mouse.
I do not waste my time reading anything based on a “study”. It’s typically 99.9% opinion.
Same goes for any beliefs based on a “computer model”. Global warming is a prime example.
It’s all manufactured BS.
A low carb diet has kept my husband’s type two diabetes under control for 10+ years.
I’ll take Paleo over the FDA guidelines ANY day...proof is in the pudding...er...protein (and veggies and fasting)
White lab mice are infamous for being poor animals for serious studies. One can paint their backs regularly with human mother’s milk and see them break out in cancerous lesions. And the shocking new findings in the tabloids...
should have eaten tofu and kale
Newsflash: people aren’t mice, and nutritional needs vary. I have done paleo and it worked pretty well, but (probably due to English ancestry), it increased my uric acid which leads to gout and kidney stones. The intermittent fasting is a good thing, but I can’t do hardcore high-fat. Reducing simple carbs is a no brainer, and eating real foods is always a better idea. Damned shame it’s hard to do and damned expensive. Figuring out individual macros is an art, and no diet fits everyone, whether from the vaunted FDA or alternative fanatics. Moderation in all things...
The human paleo diet is bad for mice. That and only that is what the study shows.
Simple observation.
In nature you see all kinds of animals
herbivores, carnivores, omnivores.....
I see a lot of fat herbivores
I can’t think of any really fat carnivores
And the omnivores like bears when they want to fatten up for winter are not stocking up on the meat to do it
Umm, except it isn’t.
People died at 30 in the Paleolithic age...that’s what I don’t understand about this diet.
There are essential fats. There are essential proteins.
There is no such thing as an essential carbohydrate.
