DO NOT VOTE ON THIS THREAD.
This is the nightly DISCUSSION thread for the ongoing 2016 Free Republic Caucus. Per caucus rules, no comments are allowed on the caucus thread itself - hence this open chat thread.
If you'd like to vote in the caucus, please look in the sidebar for the link, or check downthread here.
Thanks, and let 'er rip!
Windy
I suspect that most of those voting in the caucus, are regulars, but some others must be first time participants. I'm sure there are others who only remember to vote every so often.
If you check the results, you'll see more detailed information that might help to better answer your question.
Some people are very frustrated right now.
Until this is settled, some folks will act out.
It’s understandable.
Very democrat behavior on proudpapa’s part: he cast multiple votes in one election, and he disrespects/violates the rules.
He’s not just proud, but shameless, too.
Just Amy, I noticed that on the 18th’s caucus thread, we had 13 (out of 205) new people that voted for the very first time. So on this one day, we had 6.3% different, or at least additional voters. Once I can run the numbers, we’ll see how many of the 192 others had voted the day before on the 17th.
I haven’t looked at the people who have been voting to see what the swap out each day is, but I will do so soon.
We have had 1173 people take part in the Free Republic Caucus now.
7,414 votes have been cast in the 30 full days the caucus has been running.
Some folks have voted every day. Some have only voted once.
More to follow.
I suppose proudpapa thinks he’s standing up for Cruz in some way, but he’s only exhibiting the worst traits that many here have observed among Ted’s most fanatical supporters.

This entire “Open Caucus” thread is a lie.
There is no discussion of the facts. Mostly paid and unpaid fools caught up in the latest fad called Trump.
It is not understandable. It is rude and childish to all who are interested in the caucus.
Of course you’re right.
I agree, but then it is understandable.
People are really messed up right now. This is really getting to them.
I think it makes his candidate look bad.
Some of the ways his supporters chose to represent him are terrible.
You’re behaving like a terrorist.
Cruz Akbar!
