On Tuesday night, with his Spurs facing the Miami Heat, Popovich once again delivered on his between-quarters interview with sideline reporter David Aldridge. He gave obvious reasons for the Spurs trailing after the first, then offered a terrific reaction to the news that Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders won their respective New Hampshire presidential primaries:

I don’t see him as a Hillary man, but down there in Texas he well could be a member of the Cruz Club.
Popovich is a great coach but a registered Democrat. It will be interesing to see if he becomes a Sandernista or backs Her Heinous.
This is the ongoing “Ask a stupid question - get a strange answer” thing these two have had for a long time.
Being that there are no registered Democrats in Texas, I am curious why you would print such an obvious lie.
Because I read a story where he said he was a Democrat. And there must be hundreds of thousand of registered Dems in Texas. I suppose you are making a joke ....right?

A lie and a falsehood are two different things. A lie is deliberate misstating of the facts. I’ve been wrong about many things, but lying isn’t in my nature. You called me a liar over a petty mistake. Watch what you call people.
