Deodrants and antiperspirants radically change the 'microbial community' residing in people's underarms and allowing dangerous fungi to infest user's armpits.
A new study found that antiperspirants destroyed good bacteria and could allow more potentially harmful bacteria to grow back at a faster rate.

And it’s economical, too ‘cause the smell lasts for four or five days...

I’d say over 25 years ago, I stopped using certain types of deodorants because I would occasionally develop a rash. I was told to switch to gels (anti-perspirant/deodorants) and the issue was solved. I now purchase clear gels, Arrid, Mitchum, Right Guard, etc. but never any roll-ons, powders, or other substances.
See post #29.
Depends on the person- I’ve tried every natural deodorant under the sun and they aren’t satisfactory. Homemade version worked the best, but I’m a waitress—my income depends, in part, on not smelling offensive when I reach in front of customers to set or clear their plates.
So I’m back to the aluminum filled antiperspirant. When I was a full time stay at him mom, I could use my DIY version as I could reapply as needed. But when hustling in and out of a hot kitchen in the summer only chemicals work.
In your tuna taco?
The reality is that too much is unknown about many diseases to proclaim what you just proclaimed.
To wit:
“Elevated brain aluminium, early onset Alzheimer’s disease in an individual occupationally exposed to aluminium”

Not if you live and work in France, Russia, or a few other countries. :-)
We had groups of visiting fisikers at a scientific project, one time. The groups had their rooms in which to work, etc.
Wheeeeew-wee!!
Notice it says “An individual”. There has been no study linking antiperspirant to Alzheimers. We may as well blame aluminum foil.
I have a friend who is from Russia, someone once asked her how it’s different living here. She said that it smells better here-people use deodorant. Being on the train in Moscow during the summer smelled terrible. We all giggled-she was quite serious.
Let us know when they conclude AL causes AI and not pose it as a question.
Because B.O. doesn’t just stand for Barack Obama.
The REALITY is that Alzheimers is still a mystery. You probably proclaimed it can’t transfer to another human..but yet..there is that possibility . . You can’t say with certainty that aluminum doesn’t have an effect. Like so many diseases - the body is a mystery. Still no cure for cancer. But go ahead and load your body with Aluminum. I try not to.
“But neuropathologist Daniel P. Perl at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City has found evidence of aluminum in the neurofibrillary tangles that characterize Alzheimer’s disease.”

“Could be”, “might be”, “perhaps”, “may be”...
Spot on, just like the idiots were with coffee, salt, butter, eggs, etc.
Another waste of monies on a BS study.
These pinheads are always “finding evidence”, evidence is not proof. It is evidence, measurements, but not proof that the effect caused by the evidence.
Dumbing down of America. We don’t even know what constitutes proof anymore.
The problem is that people turn their paranoia into a hill to die on. It’s mere speculation at this point. If you won’t use aluminum under your arm, why would you wrap your food in it? Why cook your food in it? Why buy a car that contains it? Etc.
There is no reason connected with this belief because there has been no link proven between antiperspirant and Alzheimers. You may as well blame statins since the brain is largely cholesterol-ish.
Not only that, Alzheimers is a rather hazy diagnoses anyway. Itâs impossible to diagnose Alzheimerâs with 100 percent accuracy while a person is alive.
I remember using the alum rock crystal years ago. You ever taste a green persimmon? Same effect! Makes you pucker.
Prez Bernie will put a stop to that! He says there are too many deodorants on the market and HE will convert them to food production! Alum to food. One bite and you won’t be able to swallow!
Been a long while since I’ve been to Paris - back when it was under French control. The guys seemed to use a lot of perfume.
Last year Mr. GG2 fell into this philosophy and read an article that said if you rub a lime under your arms its the same as deodorant. By the second day he was faced with the choice of use deodorant or move out. :-)
