The 2016 race is projected to generate $6 billion in political advertising, drawing keen interest from those who create and manage the campaign. And some candidates are more lucrative than others, apparently. "A Jeb Bush versus Hillary Clinton presidential race would be best for business for the nation's leading political advertising firms," notes a new survey of national political ad agencies.
When asked which candidate would generate the strongest ad spend, 44 percent of agencies say Mr. Bush would be the strongest Republican revenue generator. The respondents unanimously agreed that Mrs. Clinton was the moneymaker among the Democrats. Sen. Marco Rubio was the second choice, followed by Donald Trump.

I cannot even begin to list negative effects such an election will have on the American people.

This is just the political advertising firms dreaming about which ballot would bring out the biggest spending on both sides. I suspect that it’s no coincidence that the best scenario for the ad men would be the absolute worst for the nation.

And you know what?
I still fear that the delegates and super delegates at the Republican convention can ignore primary voting results and nominate Jeb.
In a sane world, Jeb would have dropped out after his dismal showing in Iowa.
I don't trust the GOPe.

The odds of Bush being the nominee are about like the odds of Salma Hayek dumping her billionaire husband and calling me for a date.

The odds of Bush being the nominee are about like the odds of Salma Hayek dumping her billionaire husband and calling me for a date. Especially now, since she just called me.

NO, no. Jennifer Harper is exactly right: She IS writing about what is best for the news media, for the political pundit class, for the Washington beltway consultants and beltway government businesses and government industries (which includes big Education, Big Welfare, Big housing, Big union jobs) academia, consulting, contracting, union jobs, pension and investing insider jobs, (did I mention consulting jobs?), and ... consulting jobs.
Washington beltway industries also include Washington hotels and conventions and travel and cabs and restaurants and computer jobs and paper-pushing (now computer) jobs and hiring.
She did NOT say anything about what was best for the country, nor the jobs outside of Washington and NY and LA, nor the security of the future.

Pull up the audio of Clinton today in New Hampshire. I'm glad I didn't have a sharp object around me at the time as I wanted to stab my ears out so I would never have to listen to that voice ever again.
Please Bernie, put this old dog down.
