This is not a good home stretch for Senator Ted Cruz. IOWA For Trump @LandmanMarius just released this "leaked transcript" of what appears to be a Cruz supporter demanding answer regarding the invasive mailer sent to Iowa voters on Friday. It's clear from the leaked messages that the voter is furious with Cruz. The messages also reveals the possible spin-control statement if the story stretches out any longer. The blame is pointing towards "a glitch in the system" and still needs to be "sorted" out:

Trump had stalled. Cruz was surging. And then...

FoxBusiness debate "New York Values"
Sarah Palin endorsement
Glenn Beck debacle
Canada
FoxNews debate immigration mud
Mailergate

The chain of events stopping Cruz in his tracks in just 15 days has been truly stunning.

First off, there is so little information on this it sound contrived and made up by Cruz opponents.

Besides that, please explain to me the problem.

I’m like Cruz. Do not apologize.

Never ever apologize for anything 2 days out from the election.

Disclosure: I support Trump and Cruz is my 2.

Some campaign worker sending a text isn’t a ‘leaked transcript.’ They just hadn’t figured out the spin and were taken by surprise.

I think the mailers were an error and I’d be more annoyed receiving those than likely to vote for Cruz. But there are often mistakes in campaigns. Part of the process.

Another attempt by the MSM to pull a “gotcha” on the outsiders.

the Dems have been doing this for several elections now. Sorry to see Cruz jumping on the shame train, especially when he railed against Trump for name-calling.

I read the Wapo article about the mailer and the had the guy, Chris Latimer that was in on developing this type of mailers some years ago. If done right, it can improve turnout about 2.5 percent. Sounds good. Latimer says this mailer turned it around the bend by going negative. He is adamant that he had nothing to do with this and does not work for the Cruz campaign.

So the Cruz campaign took an idea that does seem to work and twisted it into a bad parody and it is back-firing badly. Cruz already commented on the mailer by not apologizing saying they would use every tool possible. They can not back track now saying it was a glitch. Cruz owns this lock stock and barrel. Unfortunately his loss of voters will go to Trump and Rubio. Bad move on his part. Maybe 2024 for Ted.

Ah yes. A glitch in the system. Cue Maxwell Smart. Glitch in the citizenship, glitch in the financial filings, glitch in the Senate votes, and now a glitch in the system. Next thing you know, there will be a glitch in the sermon.

Earlier today, the Iowa Secretary of State released a statement about letters Cruz sent to shame voters into voting for him by claiming that knowledge of voter history and comparing to their neighbors. The letter misrepresents Iowa election law. Cruz told Iowans he will “apologize to nobody”.

"a glitch in the system"

Good grief.

Ted has already publicly stated that he's not apologizing for the mailer, now someone in his campaign wants to backtrack lie and blame it on a system glitch??

Damn, his campaign is just imploding.

I don't understand why this voting record mailer was sent out.

Conservative Republicans consistently have the best turn out in almost every election of every kind.

Why would Cruz try to motivate centrist and center-left Republicans to attend the Iowa Caucus?

The story is real, to all the naysayers. I followed it in Twitter today. Names to go read:
Tom Hinkeldey @TomAhink - the guy who posted his letter on Twitter frid night. Then he yanked it because it had his address and he said he was getting threats. Earlier today someone from Meet the Press left their phone number on his page. He answered back for her to check private messages.

Sarah Rumpf @rumpfshaker - the reporter for Independent Journal Review who first saw Tom’s post and contacted him then wrote up the story.

Now that that’s out of the way... Does anyone know who this is at Twitter? He’s posting some cryptic crap about Trump and how the Establishment was caught unprepared about him running. He’s also saying he saw something today about Cruz/Rubio and their plans and won’t say what he saw today that “sent shivers down my f***cn spine” and “It’s thugs like Cruz/Rubio Trump is REALLY running against- NOT Hillary or OB!”

www.twitter.com/LandmanMarius

Now he’s posting stuff about Jihad immigrants and more.

What Cruz did with this POS voter thing is ‘politician’ thinking and doing, that’s why we don’t want to elect a ‘governor’ or another ‘politician’ for more lies and underhanded deals...

But on to a greater story...

Watched the Trump rally last night with Jerry Falwell and it was great, as usual, and the group that trains the dogs for Vets with PTSD and other problems came on the stage and Trump gave the organization 100,000.00 to help them buy 5 new dogs to give to our Vets....this was some of the 6 million dollars that we raised with Trump and supporters instead of listening to a drummed up debate....

Just thought you guys would like to hear how thankful I am to be supporting a ‘doing’ candidate that will Make America Great Again...

So Mr. Handsome who misses votes himself dares to criticize the voting history of citizens who pay his damn salary?

I hope Trump gives him a beatdown like Jimmy Conway and Tommy gave Billy Batts.

I’ve been a Cruz fan for a long time, long before his run. Long before his most excellent fearless public truth telling in the Senate. Still am a big fan.

That said, I’ve come to realize that as President, Cruz would be kneecapped at every turn. Mitch (the potus bit*c), mcinsane, linda and others in the Senate would cut off their noses to spite Ted, and nothing revolutionary (what we truly need) would get done. Nickle and dime stuff, no more. Ted’s bully pulpit would get thwarted by the msm. I love Ted, but objectively that’s the lay of the land.

Since Don Trump crystalized as serious, I’ve jumped on board. I seriously hoped Don would take Ted under his wing and teach him to hold his most excellent firepower for the big battles. Carrot first, then stick if necessary—that’s the way of big bizness. And have a ginormous stick—no bluffing. Trump has billions at his disposal. If he decides, personally, to send mitch packing, he can dump half a billion into a primary and get rid of bit*h, mcinsane, linda, etc. Hit the little perfumed princes where it not just hurts, but end their little careers. Don can do that. Ted can’t.

But I was hoping Don would go 4 years of house burning, not just cleaning. Wall, no muslim feriners, nuke isis, bloody anyone and everyone who looks at the US funny. Kick the un in the nutz. etc. Tell the senate pansies gtf out now. Then let Ted do 8 years.

That said, Ted’s people keep messing up. This was a big one.

The beauty of our long, drawn out process for selecting candidates is that it’s grueling, tedious and very stressful for the candidates. Sooner or later the mask is going to slip and you’re going to see what the real candidate is like.

The process is working. We’re getting a really good look at what Cruz is all about.
