Police Investigate Multiple Shootings At Denver Coliseum

DENVER (CBS4) - Police rushed to the Denver Coliseum on Saturday afternoon on reports of multiple shootings and a stabbing.

Officers tweeted that there were several people shot.

Not good. I just got in touch with a DPD officer there and she said she hasn’t been called in so maybe it’s just the usual motorcycle gang-banging stuff.

Sad. I don’t know about the event or the clubs involved. Some clubs are very bad (we have problems in the South with some of the black clubs) but many of them are pretty harmless, so I hope none of the decent people were hurt in this.

The police are evacuating it. Since one person died, they fear an escalation of violence.

I saw a lot of concerts there ... but that was 40 years ago.

40 years ago it was a better neighborhood. Still the industrial part of town but it worked. Today, it is Mexican gangbanger territory.

Its the one you remember. Built like a World War II era hanger, and with all the charm of same, it is still used even though there are newer, bigger, and nicer places. The annual stock show is the big event there.

I don’t doubt that. From what I have heard my old neighborhood in Aurora has gone through multiple turnovers since then. Each one worse than the last.
