The Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office on Thursday confirmed for the first time that Robert "LaVoy" Finicum was the man shot and killed during the traffic stop on U.S. 395 that led to the arrest of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge occupation leaders.
The examiners office didn't release the results of the autopsy and refused a request by The Oregonian/Oregon Live for a copy of the report.
Finicum's family previously confirmed that he had died in the shooting.
The Deschutes County Major Incident Team is investigating the officer-involved shooting.....
“When will the body be released, by the way?”
Once certain bullet wounds are reviewed and properly masked
Who knows. Maybe they are still trying to figure out a way to doctor up the body, to make it look like he had it coming. White lives don't matter.
I’ve seen the video. Shoot in cold blood... IMHO.

Yep. Public documents have to be hidden, don’t you know...

Entirely inconclusive video from where I sit.
Both sides of the issue will use it as justification for whatever they need to justify.
It’s clear to me that he had his hands up. It’s also clear that what the Feds will call “reaching for a gun” was actually reacting to being shot.
If there’s one thing that can be learned from the FBI drone video it’s that Matt Bracken’s Enemies Foreign and Domestic technology of the future is now upon us for all to see.
Did he in fact have a gun, or did the officer just shoot because he had the appearance of reaching for a gun?
Where were the medical personnel?
Where were the rubber bullets?
Totally agree with that statement
Here is a link to a video about 8 minutes long.
It almost raises more questions than it answers, but it sure looks like the victim had his hands raised when he was shot.
Agreed. I’d even go so far as to say that Finicum made a fatal mistake by not keeping his hands outstretched. What was he thinking?
When will the body be released, by the way?
I will be surprised if the body is released - would be in best interest of govt to either lose the body or cremate by mistake. no sarcasm intended
I pray for the family and friends of this man.
I also am praying daily that we are not being drawn into armed conflict with the govt
I totally agree. The video is basically an ink blot test to find out what people’s biases are in the case.
He clearly brought his hands down in a manner that could reasonably be interpreted as reaching for a gun.
What is not clear is whether or not that was a reaction to being shot. It doesn’t appear to be to me, but it is hard to tell conclusively without audio or other video angles. If the first shots were fired after he reached it is a clean shooting.
Yeah. They just strolled up on him in broad daylight, out of the blue, and executed him.
Oh, wait. He was actually in the midst of felony fleeing and alluding, tried to crash through a road block, nearly striking a LEO, and then jumped from his vehicle and reached for his waistband.
Do you think an arrest is some kind of duel to be settled 'fairly' at 10 paces? You try to pull a gun on cops you get shot. Did your daddy not teach you this?
This guy swore he wasn't going to jail, and that he'd rather die. Why do so many people think he is a liar?
“What was he thinking?”
I had my hands up, why did you shoot?
reaching for gun or or an old man lowering arms his to regain balance in snow.
