Because he's not running for their approval. He's running as a candidate and the voters will decide...not the rogue gallery that is watching their influence, as little as it is, dwindle to nothing. You don't have to waste time to refute things that are emotional claims and/or opinions.

It really is a sad state of affairs that Trump is becoming the new “Hope & Change” candidate. Folks are so delusional to ignore the history of this man.

He donated $50k to McConnell's PAC, sent out at least one attack tweet directed at Bevin during the primary over an issue where Bevin said he got a certification in something from MIT, but when someone on McConnell's team called the school, they said he hadn't attended:
"As someone well versed in job creation and the private sector, if you lie on your resume, You're Fired!"
Bevin hadn't attended MIT, just an offsite certification program run by MIT. Bevin issued the clarification. And then Trump sent out a congratulatory tweet to Kentucky after the election, stating:
"Why would the people of Kentucky want a rookie Senator - they have Sen. Mitch @McConnellPress who may be next Speaker & bring $'s to KY?"
Also showing Trump's vast knowledge of our governmental system with Mitch maybe being the next "Speaker" of the Senate. That tweet was blamed on "someone unknown" by Trump, who deleted it (but not before several people captured screenshots) and tweeted a corrected one saying he supported McConnell for Senate Majority Leader.
Funny thing is, some of the people who were smart enough to get the screen capture are some of Trump's media critics he calls stupid on Twitter so much.

I have addressed each and every one of those concerns where Trump is on the wrong side....
Pro-God? His statements show he is only pandering for the support of evangelical Christians. Asking for forgiveness is part of living out the biblical teaching. Live it or don’t live it...either way is a choice, but don’t try to play as if you are something you are not.
Pro-Life? Respecting all life and taking a stand? He missed the mark.
Pro-gun? Supported “assault weapons” ban and increased government control.
Pro-family? His casino and strip clubs would be the antithesis of “family-oriented” establishments.
Constitutional limited government? Nope, Trump sought government involvement to enrich himself and trample the private property rights of those who stand in his way.
Taxes or Capitalism? He proposed increased taxes and corporate welfare, such as ethanol subsidies.
Defense? He was anti-iraq war when Bush was in office, then went full on war hawk when Obama is running the show.
Bill of rights or freedom? He mocks, slanders, or sues anyone with a different opinion of him. Either bow to Trump worship or his lawyers get involved.
Does that about cover it for you, Skippy?
If citizen and natural born citizen are one and the same according to you, why did the founding fathers and framers differentiate between them and make two different classifications?

We are in a war with Marxist globalists and we are at war with Islam and we are losing both wars. The country needs a leader that is unabashedly an American first. A leader that will defend America, rebuild the military, secure the border, defend Christianity, bring back manufacturing jobs and deport illegals. Prior to Trump getting in, NO ONE was talking about any of these things. NO ONE.
If we do not fix immigration this election cycle the country is done, the constitution is dead are we the people are screwed. That is why we the people are getting behind Trump. It got zero to do with right/left. It's survival.
Look, if it takes Trump to give you freedom of speech, you need to man up.
If you think Trump feels deeply about your right to bear arms, go ahead. But Cruz does.
Four years ago Trump was for abortion rights. Anyone can have an epiphany but he’s had way too many of them. I don’t trust that he really cares about Pro-life.
He does not care about limited government. He just wants to be the one to run Big Government in the right way ... the Trump way.
And, by the way, Merry Christmas.

He just resorted to insults.
He didn’t deal with any of their concerns.
I am voting on the issues which MATTER in this election. CRUZ is NOT qualified to fix the economy, nor the Military. In fact, he is NOT QUALIFIED according to the constitution either.
Of course he doesn’t have to deal with what some has-been magazine has to say.
Particularly if he cannot deal with their accusations because they are true.
Maybe he will deal with them later but a good time would have been now.
