Thought I'd open up a discussion thread in case anyone wants to talk about the ongoing Caucus thread that Doughty One has created for us tonight.
Per the rules, there's no discussion allowed on the Caucus thread itself. Votes only (or your vote will be disqualified).
Let 'er rip here.
TOPICS: Chit/Chat

Run out of town?
LBJ was unpopular with radical college students and white southerners more than anyone else
When he announced he would not seek or accept the Democrat nomination folks were shocked
He sure wasn’t run out of town not by a long shot
All polls indicated he would win reelection
Many of the insiders have written on this and blame Vietnam....he chose not to run again cause he was burned out and felt he’d wasted a lot of lives frustrated by a wily foe and weak media plus his heart disease was gaining on him
I still remember when he announced...it was unexpected
He was frustrated with the war he was personally managing and the media sentiment
In the interest of accuracy I’ve pinged someone smarter than I on modern history in case I’m way off but it’s how I recall it as a kid

I think you have it all wrong on Trump. He’s in the midst of changing careers and much of what he did as a businessman does not apply to being potus.

I think Donald Trump is a patriot. Like some of us he has kids and a young wife.He doesn’t want to leave us a mess when he dies.So he is taking personal responsiblity to do what he does best:LEAD.
He is a born leader and I think he will do well as potus.

I was amused to see the number of people who could not or would not follow the clear instructions.I admit that I had similar reasons for viewing that entire thread just now--reading 241 posts is pretty fast when most of them are two words long. I hadn't even read your post yet, and I was going to post something similar, including the phrase "can't or won't."

I’m not moderating this thread. That’s the job of JimRob’s assistants.
I may be a Trump supporter, but I’m as worn out by all the infighting and backbiting as the next person. Before D1 put up the Caucus thread I had pulled way back on posting because of all the strife around here. It hasn’t been a safe place to speak your mind.
Don’t worry. You won’t get any crap from me unless you take a swing on me.
‘Don’t start none, won’t be none’ should be the motto of these threads.

I think I first voted before midnight, so we were required to vote again.

Good plan. It’s a lot of work, but the results will be reliable.

Kudos to Doughty One for creating the 2016 Caucus. It's one of the brighter ideas I've seen produced here in quite some time.************************

First vote at 9:12 PST second at 9:42. So I think you’re first one was valid (unless the FR clock is off, which is technically possible)
