'Angie Tribeca' Review: Rashida Jones Cop-Show Parody Is Wonderfully Dopey

The cop-show parody "Angie Tribeca" has so many terrible jokes and awful puns and outright idiotic bits of random humor. That's meant as high praise. Taking affectionate shots at everything from "CSI: Miami" to "The Shawshank Redemption" to "Casino Royale," "Angie Tribeca" was created by Steve Carell and his wife Nancy. Jones plays Angie Tribeca, a veteran LAPD detective who's unhappy to be assigned a new partner, J Geils.

If you liked Airplane! you'll love this show. It's belly laugh out loud fun and funny. And if you're a baby-boomer rock music fan, you'll get a fresh laugh every time you hear a new character's name.

Loved it! There was a void there without Leslie Nielsen and the Zucker Bros. material. This fit the bill perfectly! Good cast. Love Rashida Jones. Too bad I didn’t get to watch all of it.
