I have always been taught that if you can't say something nice then keep your mouth shut.
After the thread on Sunday from a supporter of one candidate that went way over 200+ posts, I started to feel hatred toward the candidate of the original poster due to how nasty she was toward other candidates.
Yes I want my candidate to win, but I don't want to turn others against my candidate and I know there are posters on this forum that are accomplishing that very feat.
Can we tone it down a bit! After all we are FREEPERS not the hate mongering DNC.
Decorum, civility and patience on any of those threads are in very short supply.
Stating that one candidate’s supporters are responsible for vandalism by asking “I wonder what their “FR nick is?” is but one example.

Can we reach one point of agreement at this time? Do we agree that any one of the first five or six Republican candidates would be far better than ANY of the Democrats?
There is no call to get nasty and personal with fellow FReepers simply because of disagreement or difference of opinion, this is what she’s talking about.
We can and should be much better than the mud slinging professionals who have taken over our country.

It’s not good natured “rough and tumble” when it comes to making personal insults and attacks on fellow FReepers, regardless of your preferred candidate.
A good rule of thumb is when someone uses a childish version of a candidate’s name (Cruzoid, Trumpkin), it’s best to just invalidate or ignore anything they say, as you would be wasting your time with a jackass.
I didn’t say it was good natured. You did. I said it was rough and tumble and that’s what FR is on any given day. How long have you been here?
If somebody gets too out of line the Mods step in. If you want to be a Mod apply. Otherwise cut the namby pamby goody two shoes stuff. Go on the religious thread and preach that stuff to MetMom the Satan of FR religion.

Full disclosure: I back Cruz, could live with Trump and would have to hold my nose for most of the rest. But sitting it out and guaranteeing a RAT dynasty is not an option. Unless the second-amendment 1776 option comes into play.
I would like to see all the states vote on the same day. The early states have the advantage of selecting the nominee. Texas votes so late that the nominee has been selected by the MSM and more liberal states.
The last thing I am going to do is sull up and stay home and give it to Hillary! Staying home is exactly what that does. I want to see her go down in a ball of flames!
Coming from a western state (Washington) it can be disheartening not to have any influence in the decision-making process. I doubt it will change in my lifetime.
Well it’s because I’ve gotten so “fundie” about it that I see a lot of things from the bible that a lot of people are missing. Guess what, God isn’t a meanie after all. In fact He’ll knock Himself out for you if you give Him the chance. Being good isn’t needed; believing and having the right intentions for how you will use the benefit gained, is.
People who believe in a God of itty bitty favors, because we don’t merit anything more, really get in God’s craw (and mine too). That’s why I try to spread sunshine when I can, knowing I won’t please everybody and I might not even do it in the best way, but the Lord is happy to see it anyhow.
I really get bristly at that “lesser evils” complaint.
People who talk like that, lack perspective about our situation before God.
We are all in various states of evil. If anyone could ever merit anything good, that time has long gone in the Garden of Eden.
We need to get off the earthly merit wavelength and onto the heavenly merit wavelength. What would you like to ask God to do today and why, to paraphrase Microsoft? God WILL knock Himself out for you if your purpose is right even if your execution isn’t all straight yet. The Cross was not a joke, except on the devil.
A purposed prayer to bless things (and of course yourself) unto God’s love is a winner. Try not to sabotage the results when you get them, of course — which is a separate battle.
By the way the best gun is the gospel gun. Nothing else can shoot Satan’s attacks down cold. The devil cannot sap God’s favors faster than God can provide them; in fact God’s favors tend to choke him out. It is like poison gas on the battlefield to him (as the bible puts it, the smell of death unto death).

Yes I did. I would agree if it was conservative vs conservative. Since it’s liberal vs conservative, it’s not applicable.
