It’s been very damp here since before Christmas, we had our first snow this morning, less than an inch but wet snow. It’s no secret that field conditions would be on the damp side.

Doctoring the field isn't cheating.

Another baseball analogy would be the old Yankee Stadium's short right field fence. The Yanks loaded up the roster with lefties. That's not cheating, that's smart.

Same with Dodger Stadium. Back in the day, the stadium had huge foul areas and long fences, favoring pitchers. They loaded up on good pitchers and played small ball.

Good point. Baseball teams with speed will keep the grass longer so the ball takes more time to get to the infielders and, when bunting, the ball dies more easily in nowhere land. Also, most teams muddy up the dirt in front of the plate to benefit their pitchers when the ball first bounces there on a ground ball.

Yeah. It was weird how all the Panthers had to do was lose a game and suddenly all their victories seems to mean nothing.

I had a big red truck with 13 dollar tickets, Front Plate and drink glasses.

It was cheap as hell and the team sucked but flashes of brilliance would make it all worthwhile.

Yeah, it had been a very mild winter here, it was pushing 60 a couple days before Christmas. But last week it went into deep freeze, then snowed. Then it got to around 40 for a couple days and most of the snow melted and now it’s deep freeze again.
