I have an original Kindle -- had it for 4 years now and very very pleased with it. It's super value for money.

But you must realise that the Kindle, and other Amazon products are sold at zero profit or at loss since the aim is for you to use it to buy more books, movies etc. from Amazon -- basically as tools for Amazon to sell more :) -- and I do buy a lot from Amazon.

So, a different model from Apple.
