TRUE HISTORY OF THE WAR FOR SOUTHERN INDEPENDENCE IN THIS AGE OF POLITICAL CORRECTNESS there has never been a greater need and greater opportunity to refresh our understanding of what happened in America in the years 1861-1865 and start defending our Southern forebears as strongly as they ought to be defended. There is plenty of true history available to us. It is our job to make it known. All the institutions of American society, including nearly all Southern institutions and leaders, are now doing their best to separate the Confederacy off from the rest of American history and push it into one dark little corner labelled "Slavery and Treason". Being taught at every level of the educational system is the official party line that everything good that we or anyone believe about our Confederate ancestors is a myth, and by myth they mean a pack of lies that Southerners thought up to excuse their evil deeds and defeat....

Someone drop you on your head?
Rewriting the facts about the “War of Northern Aggression”.
People assign every possible motivation for going to war. The bottom line is always, every time and forever, money.
“The great classical scholar and
Confederate Soldier Basil Gildersleeve remarked that the War was a
conflict over grammarâwhether the proper grammar was ‘the United
States are’ or ‘the United States is.’ We have been using the wrong
grammar.” -Clyde N. Wilson
Yes, but that is irrelevant, as i am just posting a scholarly essay written by someone else.
Well...now you’ve done it. The Lincolnolaters will be out in force with all the stuff Mrs. Grundy taught them in 5th grade and that has been reinforced by the usual suspects. Don’t you know that you aren’t allowed to point out that the War Between the States wasn’t only about slavery? You probably also entertain such heresies such as there is no real Social Security Trust Fund or that government schools are just a corrupt middle class welfare entitlement that destroys our children and our culture. Repent!
Well, yes - someone DID drop soakncider on his head.
Fortunately, YOUR head cushioned the blow...
Yes, even in this information age, many people refuse to accept new information.
I was just now mocking a TDSer about starting a War of Northern Agression thread to "Squirrel!" her.
WOnder how long it will take her to find this, and for her little head to explode?
Bless her heart. :)
IBDD
I don’t see how the condition of my head reflects on the information presented by Clyde N. Wilson.
Directly or indirectly, it generally comes down to money, or what passes for money (i.e., wealth).
I get the same pride upon hearing “Dixie” as I do when I can’t finish singing the “Star Spangled Banner” without welling up.
The test giver asks, "What was the reason for the Civil War?"
Apu answers something like, "While it is most commonly thought that it was fought over slavery, there were many factors. The north was placing economic pressure on southern industries, and many in the south thought the federal government was overreaching and taking power away from the states."
The bureaucrat cuts him off and says, "Just say 'slavery'."
Maybe you had to see it, but super funny.
In other words, today's "critics" are Metrosexual cowards, hiding behind more than a century of Safe Space in which to soil themselves over their misconceptions and outright lies.
Good response.
Let’s see Lincoln “freed” the slaves in the Confederacy by EO ( where have we seen a EO happy President before) which did nothing, really. The results of which were race/draft riots all over the Union and a hatred towards Lincoln that was almost universal. But Booth made him a martyr and the North now had a salve to sooth their shared guilt over destroying the Constitutional republic.
I just hope people will read this short book...http://www.shotwellpublishing.com/lies-my-teacher-told-me.html
As you pointed out in this post and an earlier one, it has NOTHING to do with the writings of Clyde N. Wilson.
I was just pointing out that you suffered no damage in this incident.
However, your interlocutor was not so lucky... LOL! :)
Thanks for the link! It’s the winter readin season!
