Sometimes you are so hungry you say could eat a horse. But a Swedish rider has caused furore on social media by doing just that when her favourite steed had to be put down after suffering serious injuries. Harness racer Helena StÃ¥hl turned her one horse â named Iffy Mant - into one course and is now defending her decision to do so after a fierce backlash. The 24-year-old told Swedish paper The Local: âFor me there were no alternatives ⦠to eat an animal that had a good life felt right for me.

Never understood the difference between eating cows and eating horses. But then I’ve never owned either.
Disposing of a horse carcass is major problem. Turning it into food is a totally reasonable thing to do. She didn’t kill the horse to eat it. She ate it because it was dead.
Yep, I read of an anti-hunting liberals who said we ought to get our mean from the store—=where no animal had to die.
Cow tastes better.
I plan so that I do not have to eat my animals. I imagine one can’t plan for everything. In my cases my animals are very small, and they live very long, and are non-human members of the family, so I will not be eating them. If I had large animals and they died and we needed to eat, I’d be sad to do it but it would be necessary. I wouldn’t have to feel good about doing it.
I’ll bet that horse meat is tough.
Interesting that this story is from Sweden. While motoring through that country in 1962, we found a restaurant with a menu in English. The featured dish was labeled “force meat.” None of us had ever heard of “force meat,” and we had to ask the waiter a few questions before we were satisfied that “force” was not a misspelling of another word with which it rhymed.
How my British friends on Facebook haven’t broke out the petition to have the rider put down must be due to the late hour over there!
Is force meat something that is killed by a lightsaber?
The Mongols and the Huns ate the flesh of their fallen steeds & to do otherwise would have been ludicrous.
But like the gal who shot the aged lion & then posted it on the internet, this one is learning that discretion is the better part of look-at-meeee.
“Forcemeat is a mixture of ground, lean meat emulsified with fat. The emulsification can be accomplished by either grinding, sieving, or pureeing the ingredients. The emulsification may either be smooth or coarse, depending on the desired consistency of the final product. Forcemeats are used in the production of numerous items found in charcuterie; such items include quenelles, sausages, pâtés, terrines, roulades, and galantines. Forcemeats are usually produced from raw meat, except in the case of a gratin forcemeat. Meats commonly used in the production of forcemeats include pork, fish (pike, trout, or salmon), seafood, game meats (venison, boar, or rabbit), poultry, game birds, veal, and pork livers. Pork fatback is often used for the fat portion of a forcemeat as it has a somewhat neutral flavor.”

I suppose it could have been horsemeat forcemeat.
Tough ,no it has a course texture ,but very pricey on the menu .
Swedish lady eating horse = evil
moslems raping horses owner = diversity
I hope they shot her horse because most euthanasia drugs require deep burial for disposal because of extreme risk of secondary poisoning. Or maybe she likes numb lips and a long nap after every meal.
Cow tastes better.
“Eat more chicken”. LOL
I’m good with just sending all liberals to Islam and letting muslims do whatever. Liberals are subhuman anyway.
You win today’s interWeBz ;)
Thanks. :)
