One year before the end of his second and final term in office, United Nations secretary-general Ban Ki-moon says he has spent "most of my time and energy" at the helm of the global body focused on one issue -- climate change.
"I have spent real passion ... and most of my time and energy on this issue," Ban told the Associated Press in an interview focusing on his work in that area, culminating in the recent Paris climate conference.
And he told the wire service that climate change, including follow-through on the global deal reached in Paris, will remain his priority for the remainder of his term. Ban leaves his office on the 38th floor of the U.N. headquarters in New York on December 31 next year. ...

Follow the money. The UN will get more power and a huge amount of money from the developed world to redistribute to the developing world.
What a complete waste of time, money, effort and most importantly human life that could have been saved/salvaged with timely, meaningful projects.

Given the UN’s communistic origins, their definition of such things is to rip off free-market nations such as the USA for such purposes.
How do you account for the fact that the United Nations Charter follows the format of the Russian (USSR) Constitution of 1936 rather than the format of the (Covenant of the) League of Nations? Would you feel there was any significance in the fact that the general secretary for the organization which drew up the charter was Alger Hiss? …The “free” press has kept this under wraps to this day.

The list of communist goals for the USA made me want to look deeper into the book it came from. The rest of chapter 8 has lots of sordid details about the Stalinist moles in FDR’s administration, Hiss not the least among them.
