I started watching it with the attitude of “just how is this relevant today”. I was wrong.
He says he would not run (back in 1980) because it’s a very mean life and that someone with very strong and unpopular views, which may be right, would not stand a chance of getting elected against somebody with no great brain and a big smile.
I hope this guy is not foretelling his own fate. But he does have very strong and unpopular views, that are right. Unpopular defined as being against the establishment and MSM propaganda machinery. And as far as opponents go, if it’s Hillary, she certainly has no great brain.

Actually, Trump never actually said he wouldn’t run and it’s clear he thought he would be able to do the job which is where we are today. He actually sounds the same today as then, talking about people needing to say unpopular things to solve the problems.
