Whoa! Gowdy Sides With Rubio After Getting Money From Bush Super PAC
News Ninja ^ | 12/27/2015 | Wayne Dupree

Everyone that reads this story has to realize the establishment is not going away just because we will it so. They are fighting for their own existence and candidate. GOP candidate Marco Rubio is the establishment candidate right now and everyone needs to settle down and watch how this plays out.

I posted a piece about how S.C. Rep Trey Gowdy was going to travel with Rubio in Iowa to stump for him in the new year. This shocked many as they hold Gowdy in high regard but not so much Rubio. Some are calling it an endorsement but Gowdy's campaign said "FULL SUPPORT" but didn't use the word "endorsement."

Then I was given this information and was shocked to see that Gowdy earlier in the year, along with Senator Tim Scott had been given money from Jeb Bush super PAC.

From Florida Politics (Jan 2015):

The committee launched by the former Florida governor and prospective 2016 Republican presidential candidate announced on Friday it gave nearly $123,000 in contributions. The largest payments were $10,000 each to the Republican Parties of Florida, Iowa, Nevada and South Carolina, as well as the New Hampshire Republican State Committee , each playing an important role in early presidential primaries for 2016.

In addition, the Bush PAC gave $5,200 each to individual Republican candidates, such as U.S. Sens. Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire, Richard Burr of North Carolina, Chuck Grassley of Iowa, Rob Portman of Ohio and Tim Scott of South Carolina.

GOP House members who also were beneficiaries of Right to Rise PAC money were U.S. Reps. Barbara Comstock of Virginia, Trey Gowdy of South Carolina, Frank Guinta of New Hampshire, Joe Heck of Nevada, Mia Love of Utah, Martha McSally of Arizona, Elise Stefanik and Lee Zeldin of New York, and David Young of Iowa. They also received $5,200 apiece.

If you are calling Gowdy a RINO after he is doing this for Rubio, STOP! That's his choice and whether or not he choose wisely, that will be on him and his conscious. It's up to you to stick to your candidate and defeat the establishment as you have chosen to do through your social media keyboard activism or walking around the neighborhood door to door.

One thing that does perplex me however, I wonder if Gowdy will return Bush's money to the super PAC. Rumors are that Scott and Governor Nikki Haley will also side with Rubio in the upcoming weeks.

“Gowdy has been on board The Cheap Labor Express longer than most of us woud like to admit.
He has a flair for the dramatic and has used that to distract us.”

STOP electing LAWYERS!!! They lie, they are TRAINED to lie! They have NO business in the executive or legislative branch.

And so it is, that Gowdy accepts PAC money, and says:
“yassuh, boss!”

Once again, Trump does not take any money!!

For awhile there we all thought he would make a good head of the justice dept. because of his undefeated record as a federal prosecutor. However, I think his idea of going back to his home, leaving DC, is a good idea. He is obviously not the conservative we thought he was.

Like the joke about the woman at the dinner party, now we’ve established what Trey is, as well as his price.
The GOP is too venal to be saved.

Remember “I don’t give a damn whose careers are impacted”? Wasn’t that Trey Gowdy who said that? And what exactly has happened?

Nothing. Nada. Nicht. Nyet.

What a phony.

What if Rubio is the most conservative electable candidate?

So who gets to decide which candidate gets the "electable" moniker? The biased polls? Columnists? NYTWAPOABCNBCCBSFOX?

If Rubio is the nominee, I'm not voting. No more GOPe for me. Never. Again.

The voters.

I assume you’re trying to channel Buckley. We are talking about determining who is the most “electable” *before* the general.

IMHO, Mr Marco Amnesty is not acceptable to those care about borders and rule of law.

Isn’t Norquist also a big front man for bringing muslims into the Country and giving them carte blanche?

Amazing how many Clinton/Sanders supporters there are here.

Of the current top runners, I prefer Rubio and, to a lesser extent, Cruz. I detest Trump - as I detest all NYC liberals - and will continue to oppose him through to the nominating convention. Thereafter, if Trump ends up being the GOP nominee, I will support him and I will vote for him, because I will never, ever vote for, or otherwise support, a democrat. No matter how stupid, venal and dangerous Trump is, he cannot hold a candle to any liberal, particularly the likes of Clinton and Sanders.

I realize that governing in a democratic republic is a messy, ugly business where you rarely if ever get everything you want. I can deal with that. Too bad there are so many so-called “conservatives” who cannot.

NO more GOPe choices........they are not us. Enough. I will not vote for Rubio, nor will I remain in the Republican party. I have had it. Gowdy is just another DC elite.

Interesting. So you hate moderate Republicans more than you hate Clinton, Sanders, and all the rest of the liberals/DNC. Wow.

I’ve been suspicious of Gowdy for a couple of years. He puts on a great show, BUT NOTHING EVER HAPPENS. TO ANYBODY. ANY TIME.
