Schlong As a Verb

I heard Trump use the word last night in Michigan. He said something like, Obama "schlonged" Hillary in the primaries. I knew right then the media would pick it up, and they did. IN fact, it's the main reason he's covered 24/7--the media are on their "schlong patrol," looking for "schlong gaffs" by The Donald, and they found one, or did they?

IT's clear NPR in 2011 made reference to the word as a verb,in a political contest with the 1984 Mondale/Ferraro ticket where they said the pair "were schlonged in the polls." So Trump is not the first.

I’m a Baby Boomer, and I think still young at heart, LIKE TRUMP. There are words used out there, by women no less, that would never be used in public when I were growing up.

For example, I hear women in the office freely saying, “He needs to grow some balls,” He needs to grow, “a pair.” Or, “bite me,” etc. And yes, it turns me a bit red.

Schlong, was definitely a word, a noun, from my generation used among us boys in high school, and Trump throws in a bunch of words like this all the time from that time. But, I must admit, I never heard or used it as a verb, but to be sure from now on it will be and not in a sexual sense.

For example:

“Last night Hillary Schlonged Bernie in the debates.”

“The republican debate lasted two hours amid grueling questioning by Megyn Kelly. In the end, Trump, out schlonged her.”

“Johnny Manziel, in desperation, schlonged a long pass to his wide end for the winning touchdown in the closing seconds of the game.”

“Tiger Wood’s opening drive schlonged right into the deep rough.”

“The fire fighters schlonged their gear over their shoulders as they entered the burning forest.”

“The German pole vaulter was out schlonged 8 inches by his opponent on the last effort.”

“Hey, Harry, that was a great speech. You really, schlonged the audience.”

“Yeah,the place was packed. We had to schlong our way through the crowd to get to the exit.”

“It was really something. Two cars schlonged head on the curve. Fortunately no one was hurt.”

Fred:”Hey, Joe what happened?” Joe:When I tried to loosen that bolt, the ratchet slipped and sclonged me in the head.”

etc.

I'm sure Jackie Mason and Charles Krauthammer will be commenting on this today.

Apparently some ‘pink laced panties’ got insulted by the term and of course going ‘down in the gutter’ thought it meant something else, which in some cases does...

When I was younger and playing the field, we girls would use that word to describe how it was......

I just have to remember, "it's the seriousness of the charge!"

I also have to remember that higher education is replete with losers who can't make it in science, engineering or any worthwhile productive profession. It was true in the 50s, and much more so today...
