~3” - and that is news?
in Denver?
surprised actually.
Global Warming!! Err, Climate Change!! Err, Climate Disruption!!!
Dang. That must be the one I was hoping would hit gay paris during the Clowns On Parade 21 event.
EVERY drive-by morning channel starts the news off with "Historic", "Extreme", this and that weather.
Poor quoting of the article. The pertinent info was the new record. 6.7 inches.
The previous record was nothing for records.
FYI, here in Southern Maine we have had no snow. Boston regional TV news just reported that most of New England will not have a white Christmas. Northern mountains have gotten snow.
Well, since it was the first real winter storm so far it had to be the biggest this season. The usual misleading media crap.
This season? Gee, it’s not even officially winter.
6.7 inches????
We call that a light dusting here.
Last December we got 6.7 FEET overnight here in Buffalo, NY.
We had some snow on the ground here last year. I don’t think they measured it. They headed the snow off at the pass. It was about 2 to 3 inches at the pass.
Some people would kvetch about a White Christmas.
Last week we supposed to get hammered, we got a trace. Last night we were to get a trace, took me 40 min. to go 10 miles this am.
and in 10 years the temperature will be ..... /s
Talked to my dad, they got 10-12” in the ‘bubs west of Denver.
About 6” here in the high country.
Stupid apes are going to learn how ice age glaciers on North America are formed this winter. El Nino equals Earth Cooling, dumbos.
Taking measurements at DIA is useless as its 20 miles East of the I-25 corridor, which passes through downtown Denver.
10” 2 miles S. of Denver
11” 12 miles S. of Denver
8.5” SE Aurora
10” Westminster
10” Broomfield
Well, up here, 40 miles north of Denver, I shoveled 8 or 9 inches before coming to work, not counting the 2 foot drift wedging my car into the driveway. That may be a record for the date but I’ve shoveled much larger amounts than that in the 27 years I’ve lived in this house. Like the 4-5 feet that trapped me at home a few years back.
The ice under the snow made driving pretty iffy today, along with the drifts from wind. I got maybe 6” of snow at the mansion.
OMG Denver your DOOMED, women and children and midgets to suffer.
Back in the 1970's it was a settled fact that we were heading for a mini ice age.
Then Al Gore invented the internet and Global Wealth Redistribution Warming.
