The Department of Veterans Affairs seems unwilling to fire its employees, regardless of outlandish conduct. A new investigation has turned up instances in which employees had sex at work or slept in patient rooms only to receive mild reprimands.
This misconduct occurred in hospital facilities spread out among West Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. Three facilities, one in each region, disciplined, but did not fire, a total of 300 employees, according to a Freedom of Information Act request by NBC4 Washington.
In one case at the Martinsburg facility in West Virginia, employees actually had sex at the center. Another employee slept under a blanket in a patient room during work hours. Still another was placed under investigation for being high on cocaine. ...

Not if the women there look like the women here.
The guy in question spent years at ETV being near worthless and it took two years of dedicated effort for him to be fired.
That was before I was there. It was the stuff of Dilbert sagas.
Government jobs ain’t gonna be like they used to when President Trump is in charge.
The next president has to bring the bureaucracy to heel and impose some punishment for unethical behavior and their sloth and laziness. If they do not we are done. The bureaucracy has nothing but utter contempt for the public and thinks they are untouchable.
The purpose of the VA is not to assist Veterans.
The purpose of the VA is to take care of the employees and the Democrat Party.
Let’s all recite the VA Executive Motto.....
“Delete, Delay, Deny And Let Them Die To Make Our Bonuses Go High, High, High!”
The VA would rather continue paying these “worker” dregs instead of helping the neglected Veterans who are being murdered by the VA through neglect. Maybe they get even more bonuses if they continue their unconscionable “management”. What disgusting “public servants”.
Exactly what I was going to quote if not already!
“Was that frowned upon? Because if anyone had ever once told me, we don’t have sex with the cleaning staff, well, that would be different...”
My sister in law was the CEO of the VA in a big city. The stories she would tell me about the people she COULD NOT fire was hair raising.

I’m getting BLUE in the face saying this over and over and over again.
You’ll never get results until .... YOU GET RID OF GOVERNMENT UNIONS .. the rules are so convoluted, you can’t discipline anybody.
The same thing is happening in our SCHOOLS .. the UNIONS CONTROL THE TEACHERS .. AND MAKE IT UNREASONABLE TO TRY TO FIRE ANYBODY .. EVEN IF THEY CAN’T TEACH WORTH BEANS.
AND .. TO ADD TO THE MESS .. THESE ARE THE UNION DUES THAT KEEP THE DEMOCRATS IN POWER .. WHY ARE WE DOING THAT ..???
bump 4 L8R because I am so pissed off...
Even eliminating public sector unions won’t fix problems inherent in executive branch departments that are unaccountable to anyone save the POTUS. It’d be a start, but just another layer of the rotten onion.
Was that wrong?
If they get past the union.
I realize it’s only one layer .. but we have to start somewhere.
At least then .. THERE WILL BE NO EXCUSE.
LOL There are some good ones here - at least from the appearance angle. It has been my observation that southern women on average pay more attention to how they look than their sisters north of the Mason Dixon line

OMG!
Have you ever been to Massachusetts and/or Red England in general?? Ha, ha.. LOL!!
“What if the vet is happy with his VA service. Not all VA facilities are the same.”
One vet happy with the VA service, while another 10 die because of VA incompetence is not acceptable.
