A former U.S. Air Force officer has branded the ritual of military football players kneeling in prayer a ‘putrid’ example of ‘Christian supremacy’ and demanded it must stop.
Michael Weinstein, president and founder of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF), insisted the public prayers so often seen on the football pitch before games are a scandalous outrage.
He said Air Force Academy football players had approached the MRFF claiming they were forced into joining the prayers, for fear of punishment.

It seems these days all one has to do is form a “foundation,” and a press conference, and, voila! - his word means something. The ‘foundation’ doesn’t really have to have any significant amount of members or donors or even supporters. Just give your ‘foundation’ a title and you’re set. Note, he’s a White House advisor, but that isn’t mentioned. I think this is also the same guy who sued because he was ‘bullied’ by “Christian Superiority” during his basic training. Full time victim here.

In 1965 in Lockport, Louisiana when we went on the field our coach of our High School Team would go on the field with us before the game. He would give us a pep talk to play hard and fair. We would all be in a huddle and he would lead us in a short prayer.
At that same High School many of the students would have shotguns in their cars if they were lucky enough to have a car. We would go hunting after school during hunting season. The cops knew this and the principal knew this. They could see the weapons in the gun racks in our pickups.
None of us would have ever considered using those weapons in an illegal manner. Today you would have a SWAT SQUAD if this was done. Times have changed and not for the better.
