What airheads!
Airline and security officials at Kennedy Airport let 150 passengers arriving from an international flight leave the airport without going through customs, the Daily News has learned.
American Airlines Flight 1671 arrived at JFK from Cancun, Mexico, at 8:50 p.m. Friday.
When the plane landed, passengers walked out of the airport without having their passports or bags checked by Customs and Border Protection, sources told The News.
A source familiar with the matter said passengers disembarking the plane âjust followedâ a gate agent. The security snafu came just two days after ISIS released a video threatening New York City with a terrorist attack.

And rum. Don’t forget the rum.
While our Congress is debating laws to stop Obama from importing terrorists, he is creating an express lane to bring them in.
And the uniparty is silent acting as if none of this will affect them. Madness.
Mexico announced it is taking unlimited “ Syrian refugees”
That is hysterical..and tragic..because it is our new reality.
A gift from El Chappo to help with the “Trump Problem”?
I would have self-excluded from that flight.
You just framed it perfectly, nothing more to be said. And that is the horrifying part!
This part of terrorism, in as much as ‘to be terrorized’ is a state of mind meant to intimidate into submission.
There is no way this was done in error.
Whether or not those escorted past Security were a threat or not we will never now know. It was the intent to make us unsure of our ability to know who comes into the country.
Nobama is directly responsible. Such is part of his terroristic community organizing. He is trying to intimidate America into hiding their eyes while they plant the jihadists in plain sight.
That was a funny scene in the movie Airplane. Interesting who would have thought back then that it would become the truth in the good old USA.
It sounds like a procedural mistake, not a new policy. The fact that the flight came from Cancun probably means it had mostly returning US citizen tourists on it. I’d be more worried if it came from Mexico City.
Then one day, one flight, oops we forgot to take 'em through customs.
Someone in high authority had to hand walk them around customs.
Why?
Something about this story doesn’t make sense. When you arrive Internationally your baggage is picked up in a different area than Domestic flights. You cannot leave the area without going through Customs and Immigration. This article suggests that airline personnel directed them to Domestic baggage claim to pick up luggage. How could their luggage be there without this being deliberate.
That’s meant to be humour, not real life.
I’d like to know where these folks went, but I guess we won’t know until later. (after something happens).
“Many bottles of tequila where just moved into the country!”
And it was the Anejo - only the best for the rich libs!
I was surprised to find out when I flew home from Europe through Dublin that there is a customs & border control station in the airport, and therefore once we landed in the US no customs requirement - it had been taken care of at the originating end.
Excellent question. Perhaps airport security cameras will reveal “who” directed them, and some intrepid journalist will report.
We didn’t go through customs in Rome. I was disappointed because I wanted my passport stamped!
WHO GAVE THE ORDER?
