Serra is just a footnote in UFC history now after losing the rematch. I hope for more for Holly Holm. I would presume Rousey would get an immediate rematch if she wants it, despite not deserving one, Cain V is getting one with Werdum.

Rousey looked awful, unnerved at the weigh-ins yesterday, I think she ODed on her own hype. Wouldn’t surprise me if she tested positive for THC either. Her trainer filed for bankruptcy, tough times for her. I’m not a big believer in karma but, feel the Bern. I don’t see her acting career being a success, remake of “Roadhouse” eh? Weird.

I just heard on the post fight that Ronda was sent to the hospital for observation after her KO loss.

Yeah, I saw that, I wasn’t really sure what to make of it. I would agree that it was poor sportsmanship though.

But you know, I am a fan of Rousey, I definitely respect her and her skills and what she has done for the sport. but yeah she comes off bad attitude sometimes.

But more importantly I am a fan of fighting and MMA, and to see someone come in and just dismantle the champ like that is truly something to behold.

Holm has earned respect and deserves respect. What she did was absolutely stellar.

I’m a Holm fan now too. Great fighter, great lady.

It’s going to be interesting to see how Rousey responds to this.

Defeat is what strengthens us the most. This is an opportunity for Ronda to become stronger, so let’s see if she rises to that.

Beyond that Holly Holm is basically Godzilla and now rules the universe.

I agree with DC and disagree with Dana White.

Holm did expose Rousey. Not as a fraud or anything like that, but exposed weaknesses and holes in her game without a doubt.

When Ronda could not impose her will and dominate, she had no answer, she got frustrated, overpowered out skilled and knocked out.

Now can she tighten up and close those gaps? I don’t know. If she can, it will take time.

Holm is, without a doubt, a pro. What an impressive demonstration of skill.

Worst excuse for a title defense since Mike Tyson lost to Buster Douglas. Rousey came out at the opening bell with an unworkable and clearly unsuccessful fight plan, and stuck with that until Holm put her to sleep.

I agree with you on the exposed part what I found interesting was Ariel asking about Rousey and the rematch Dana was talking about the timing and Ronda’s schedule and her making the movie I’m think to myself Ronda just got her a$$ kicked she needs to forget about making the movie ask for the fight at UFC 200 get into real camp and start training otherwise Holly will do the same thing again

Great article love the headline but I disagree with one thing I think Holly’s win is way bigger than Serra’s win over GSP as Impy pointed out I also think it’s bigger than Weidman’s win over Silva because Silva was way past his prime and it was only matter time till he lost.

That’s exactly right. It’s time to forget about movies. Do you wanna be a fighter? Then you must first learn to fight.

That girl Holly is on a whole ‘nother level. Maybe in two or three other levels.

Her strikes are lightning fast. Ronda couldn’t even see them coming. Heck, I couldn’t even see them coming. I finally got to see the knockout this morning.

She basically made a fool out of Ronda.

I am wondering honestly if this is going to be a Rich Franklyn type situation where he tried to climb Mount Silva twice and realized that there is no way in Hell he’s ever going to beat Sliva, and then he eventually retired after two crushing defeats to Silva.

A LOT of people (but not me) picked Weidman to beat Silva. That was a very popular pick. Far fewer picked Holm.

I don’t know if anyone other than Serra’s mom picked him but GSP didn’t at the point have the aura of invincibility that Rousey had, and that was a flash KO, can happen to anyone, this was a beat down. My comparison is Tyson/Douglas.
