>>>Please...the shortened lights “caused” the collisions?<<<

No, the fear of getting a Red Light Ticket going through the Intersection on a Yellow Light caused the collisions.

People slammed on their Brakes and were hit from behind. They got rid of a Red Light Intersection Camera close to our House because Rear End Accidents increased there.
At least that’s the story I heard.

But, the motorist who careened into the back of the law-abiding citizen was intending to run a red-light...ne c’est pas?

We had MORE accidents at some red lights....And there's absolutely nothing that can convince me that the red lights cause FEWER accidents and they're only fender benders anyways. Speed limit is 30 MPH...and no two accidents are the same.

It's just for the money.

Hmmm....If I recall my driver’s training from WAY BACK IN HIGH SCHOOL, it was obligatory for the car following to be prepared to stop before slamming into the car ahead, otherwise you would get a ticket for “Failure to be in control of your vehicle”. Sounds like too much tailgating, not the red light cameras. That’s like blaming the team that lost for the riots that burned down the town.
