Hello all you other gainfully employed chumps paying for your own health care insurance.
I just wanted you to know something I've found out. If you have a BRONZE plan like I do, because you are paying for it yourself and can't afford anything else, you are paying a $6,000 deductible per person before you can file a single claim to perhaps get any benefit.
Meanwhile, people who have subsidized plans because they aren't working or not working or not earning very much get the vaunted SILVER plan! And you are paying for it. You are paying for a plan for others "less fortunate than you" better than you can afford for yourself.
How do I know? Second hand knowledge about the SILVER plan from someone who has it via subsidy and first hand from me who has a BRONZE plan.
The guy I know who has the subsidized SILVER plan is getting lots of work done on himself at essentially ZERO cost to himself. The SILVER plan covers him. Technically he does have a deductible and copay but that is not the point. The point is, he is getting better health care than I can afford and I, by taxes, am paying for his.
The not being able to afford good primary health care and only being able to afford catastrophic insurance, the BRONZE plan, story only applies to the working poor like me who don't get a subsidized plan.
When does the shooting start? I'm ready but going alone is a futile sacrifice.
Someone has to pay for all the illegal’s health care...
What’s happening in this country is more scary than anything Halloween has to offer. It’s sad.
Maybe you could marry him and get wifey benefits.
Didn’t you mean “painfully employed”?
You might want to check out the Christian health sharing ministries. Deathcare exempt and typically a lot cheaper. Just sayin.
Yes, and if you are on welfare and have children who qualify for the “crazy check” you are getting more tax free income than many people who work for a living. How do you think they can afford to take half the family to a nail salon?!
I know one woman who has three grandchildren who get “crazy checks”. She lives in government housing but she can damn sure afford a new car. One child gets around $2,000 monthly!
My mouth dropped when I saw that!
I highly recommend looking at some bronze plans with slightly higher premiums. I did some trolling when Obamacare first rolled out and thought the same thing until I dug deeper. Not all bronze plans are the same. I recall finding some that looked more like comprehensive and less like high deductible plans.
If you like your slavery, you can keep it.
If we all knew what some people were getting by sitting on their asses we would probably revolt and refuse to fund the damn government until they fixed it!
I did and could not find anything that offered anything different in Texas.
I may look again this year but so far, no dice.
If I lose my employer provided health insurance I will pay the fine rather than pay for an 0bamaplan. The fine for me would be less than the cost of the monthly premiums. A plan with a $6,000 deductible is worthless to me. If I get in an accident or have some serious health problem I will buy an 0bamaplan after I arrive in the hospital. When I get better I will drop out of the 0bamaplan.
I know it is enough that we can’t afford to pay laborers a before tax income that, after tax, will match their GIVEN income.
I’ve heard that plan before and have heard that it does not work out as well as you might hope.
I’ll admit that is only hearsay.
The amount of fraud and abuse of the system is mind blowing.
How come the liberals aren’t complaining about Obamacare?
How do you chumps feel to be paying for someone to live better than you do? Ready for a revolution yet?
I have a gold plan for my wife and myself, $250 deductible, $28,000 per year.
Many illegals and such have no qualms at all with scamming the system. The more they can the prouder they feel. Many somehow manage to have different identities in different states and pile in the money. It is not uncommon at all.
A Cadillac plan as defined by Obamacare. Will you have to pay a penalty in 2017 for having a plan like that?
