Boise, Idaho - More than half a century after a group of beavers parachuted into the Idaho backcountry, officials have uncovered footage of the quirky wildlife management moment.

Anyone that has had to deal with those over sized rodents knows the only overpopulation control is the same as with a mouse or a rat.

They are extremely destructive and ruin wildlife habitat and haying and/or grazing areas. Flood roads and property. They will take a perfectly health aspen, a foot or better in diameter, 40 - 60 feet tall, lay it down and skin it and remove the small branches.

The county uses explosives to blow up their lodges. Some poison them. With a inexpensive fur bearer permit I shoot and trap them.
