HOUSTON (AP) — A white Houston-area man was sentenced to nearly six years in federal prison for committing a hate crime when he surprise punched an elderly black man.
In federal court in Houston on Friday, Conrad Alvin Barrett was sentenced to prison followed by three years of probation.
Barrett admitted in court to racial motivation in the Nov. 24, 2013, attack on his 81-year-old victim. Evidence showed Barrett filmed the attack on his cellphone. The 29-year-old Katy, Texas, man punched an 81-year-old man with such force that he fell to the ground. Barrett then laughed and said, “Knockout!” as he ran to his vehicle and fled.
The victim was hospitalized for several days for treatment of two jaw fractures.

how many thousands of blacks who have done the same thing to whites are still walking free, or were given a slap on the wrist?
Any color person who does that to any color 81 yr. old person, should go the prison as he will do that again if not stopped right now. His jaws should be broken before they put him in prison.
I am 82 and two broken jaws might not mend at my age. Feel sorry for the pain and time that 81 yr. old has to go through to maybe be able to eat again.
Yet black youth are doing their knock out game and no big deal?
Oh yeah, cause they b black youth.
It's all relative - why 6 years for the White thug for a hate crime and zero for all the "knockout game" thugs and others who attack Whites for racial reasons and are deemed not to be hateful?
