A few years ago there was NRA ad based on a Breitbart article about Sidwell having armed security guards (unrelated to the USSS). It was posted here:

Obama’s kids should be going to school in Kenya that’s all I’m saying.
This pages just lists 17 officers that work (at least part time) there. No detail on what they carry though.
SS agents are armed and provide protection for Obama’s alleged daughters > Obama’s alleged daughters attend Sidwell Friends > Sidewell Friends has armed guards

Does Obama’s kids go to a school with armed security guards. Yes. By definition when Obama’s children are there they have secret service guards on duty. We provide that service to the president. Does the school hire armed guards? We don’t know, but there is 11 or so men hired not for their good looks for some reason. If they aren’t armed, you can bet they know how to be armed pretty damn fast.
Then there is this statement:

However, that does not say there are no armed guards, for example maybe Sidwell contracts for armed security.
To my knowledge, whenever Secret Service agents are actively safeguarding the lives of persons assigned to, they are armed. Those assigned to guard the President's daughters at Sidwell Friends are armed. So while Sidwell may not have armed guards, armed guards are present when the offspring of a President attend any scholl.
The point is: Are the polititians in DC sending their kids to a school that employs armed guards? The NRA said their ad was not about the USSS.
The WAPO gives the NRA 4 Pinocchios, but then the question of whether Sidwell employs or contracts for armed guards is not answered.
Is this typical liberal hypocrisy? Armed guards for them, gun free zones for all other kids.

You will never get a straight answer from anyone, or any entity, in DC. If the question is not framed with specificity, there will be spin to frame an answer accordingly.
No, but they are always within reach of staplers, hole punches, and other items that can be thrown at an assailant.
Yes, Sidwell School says “no security guard carries a gun.” Which may simply mean they are locked up but on the scene and ready to be used in an emergency. Washington does lie about everything.
Sidwell certainly has armed Secret Service guardw, at least while the royal children are there and surely 24-7 to guard against furtive bomb planting and such.
No detail on what they carry though.
As a former Leo/Corrections and private security for a couple of decades I can assure you that anyone listed as a Special Police Officers is working armed. What particular weapon is used I have no idea but they DO have weapons.....

That's the school the obama offspring attends, correct?
However, to call the USSS Protection Detail "guards" would be wrong and demeaning to a very well-trained and professional bunch of men and women.
I don't care who the prez is (well, I do, I wish it was anybody but obi), if they have family members that are subject to kidnap or mayhem, with an aim of influencing the actions of the prez, then, yes...I want them protected.
Why would anybody in their right mind in this day and age wish it to be otherwise?
I hate the SOB and can't wait for him to be gone and to take his spawn with him...but until then, because of his position and ability to influence things in a bad way, I want them all protected.

Haha...the job title is probably Not ‘security guard’...more like protection officer...which means they are not lying...they have no security guards.

With the USSS and private bodyguards, there’s no need for security.
