Facebook asking for Drivers License/Birth Certificate Info
Posted on 10/02/2015 10:51:53 AM PDT by hsmomx3
So I attempt to get into my Facebook page which I was able to earlier today, and all of a sudden, it is asking me for ID's before I can get to my page.
Asking for a drivers license, birth certificate, pictures, etc.
I've never had this happen!
Anyone else experience this?

Nope. It does want to be attached to my phone number now, just like gmail. Neither of them get it, though.

Were you using your real name? Facebook as of late has become jerkish about people not using their real names.. and if someone reports you for not using your real name the will ask for all that garbage, its easier to just close the account and open another one.. I would never give Facebook that info.

This was a phishing attempt. Do not fall for it. I was just on and there was no difference.
Did they mention that swampland in Louisiana?

Agree with previous poster(s) ... sounds like your browser had been hijacked and you're being re-directed to a rogue website.
Make sure your Anti-Virus software is up to date, download MalwareBytes onto your computer, install it, reboot and bring it back up in Safe Mode.
Then run a MalwareBytes full scan of your system.
