NSA secure facilities.

Why couldn’t all the features of W10 be turned off and you are asked which ones you want turned on?

It could be worse, it could be Google.

Then your data could not be taken and used for intel and profit.
Lest we forget the NSA made many demands on access to user data from Apple and Intel/Microsoft alike. Along with cell providers and even your dish/cable co.

It’s creepy that whatever I click on, I get ads that involve my profile. FWIW, I don’t like that they record my viewing history and pursue me as advertising revenue fodder.

Doesn’t seem much different than Apple.

Linux is the answer. If that was the answer, people wouldn't still be asking the question.

My android phone always offers up what Ive just been talking about.
For example last night I was talking about making a certain bourbon based drink. I said I would have to search for the recipe. Picked up my phone and by the time I had entered the 3rd letter it was offering me the recipe for the drink.
Makes it easier but freaks me out.

It freaks me out that anyone would need a recipe for bourbon! Bottle, glass, pour and drink! ;-)

Microsoft has been actively working with the NSA for at least 10 years if not longer.
I wouldn’t believe a word they said on security
